Abstract

Hydrated bioadhesive suppository formulations for use e.g. as vaginal suppositories are formed of one or more hydrophilic polymers, such as sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, polyacrylic acids or polyacrylates, a pessary or suppository base, water in amounts in excess of 30% by weight of the formulation, and a medicament.
