Abstract

A rotating filter containing a drum shaped axel, housed in a container for fibre suspension. The axel is edified of axial waste pipes, in which the hollow filter element, forming ring shaped filter sheets is housed. A collector funnel for fibre biscuits extends itself centrally through the axel. According to the invention, the filter is characterised by the axial waste pipe (6) communicates with each and every chamber (9<1>-9<8>) for accumulation of filtrate set up on the drum shaped axel (4); that each accumulator chamber (9<1>-9<8>) is designed for the collection and storage of filtrate, which under the filter's operation flows form the opposite filter element and waste pipe when the accumulator chamber passes a filling zone during rotation (4) of the drum shaped axel; and that each accumulator chamber (9<1>-9<8>) is set up for the emptying of collected filtrate via a stationary lock out device (11<1>, 11<2>, 26) that is dimensioned to receive the filtrate that exists in the accumulator chamber and in the corresponding filter element and waste pipe, when the accumulator chamber passes the given filler zone following the emptying zone during the rotation of the drum shaped axel.<IMAGE>
