Abstract
IP 2353 C A soap possessing improved deresinating ability for pulp production is disclosed. The soap is particularly useful for making hardwood dissolving pulp and is obtained by adding rosin acid soap essentially free from fatty acid soap to black liquor soap containing hardwood contaminants (e.g., black liquor soap derived from Kraft cooking of mixed softwood-hardwood furnishes).
