1486478 Catalyst regeneration UOP INC 19 Dec 1974 [28 Dec 1973 (3)] 54859/74 Heading B1F A catalyst regeneration process comprises introducing spent, coke contaminated catalyst into a coke oxidation zone, e.g. 4, containing a first dense bed of catalyst where coke is oxidised from the catalyst, e.g. at 675-760‹C, passing the resulting catalyst e.g. via 3B to at least one downstream dense bed e.g. 5, which is maintained at a higher temperature than the first dense bed, e.g. 690-800‹C, and recovering regenerated catalyst from the downstream dense bed e.g. via 32, a portion of the regenerated catalyst from the downstream bed being returned to the first dense bed e.g. via 6. without being reused as a catalyst.
