Abstract

FIELD: dye-stuffs. SUBSTANCE: in a method of marking liquids with a dye, the latter is a compound selected from the group containing metal-free and metal-containing naphthalocyanines, nickel-dithiol complexes, aromatic amine derivatives, methine dyes, and azulene-based dyes with absorption maxima within the range from 600 to 1200 nm and/or fluorescence maxima at 620 to 1200 nm. Dye is advantageously used in amount from 2 parts per 2 billion to 50 parts per 1 million. EFFECT: new liquid-marking dyes proposed.
