Inventia se refera la un procedeu de preparare a esterului acidului D 2-izopropil-2-paraclorfenilacetic cu alcoolul (S) alfacian-3-fenoxibenzilic conform caruia esterul acidului D 2.izopropil-2-paraclorfenilacetic cu alcool (RS) alfa-cian-3-fenoxibenzilic este tratat cu un agent bazic, de exemplu amoniac, într-un solvent în care esterul alcoolului (S) este insolubil, de exemplu izopropanol.
