Abstract

The high-temperature solar collector with a movable platform (4) consists of a focusing lens (1) permanently mounted on the support structure (2), which is also the housing of the collector, and an absorber (3) mounted exactly at the focal point of the focusing lens (1). The heat absorber is also a heat exchanger. To the absorber are connected, thermally insulated, pipes (11) with a medium, e.g. thermal oil. At the inlet of the medium to the absorber there is a pump unit (8) equipped with a circulating pump, temperature and pressure sensors, coupled with an automatic control system enabling obtaining the desired temperature at the outlet of the absorber, e.g. 300 deg. C or higher. The support structure (2) is rigidly mounted on the movable platform (4). The platform (4) is articulated with the stable collector base (10). The articulated mounting of the collector platform is made by means of a mechanical gear (5) connected to the actuator (6) and sun position sensor (7). This whole set of elements (5, 6, 7) is coupled with an automatic control system that allows the platform to be positioned perpendicular to the direction of the sun's rays and thus parallel to the lens's optical axis.
