Abstract
본 발명은 배기 시스템내의 배기가스를 촉매전환시키는, 특히, 내연기관, 바람직하게는 스파크 점화 엔진내의 배기 시스템용의 벌집 구조체, 특히, 촉매 지지체(3)에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 벌집 구조체는 다수의 채널(4)을 지니며, 각각의 채널은 한쪽 말단에서 중심 채널내로 배출시킨다. 채널(4)은 중심채널(5)로부터 외부로 굽어 있고, 연속적으로 놓여 있는 디스크(15)에 의해 한정된다. 적어도 몇 개의 디스크(15)는 채널(4)의 측면 경계를 형성하는 거대구조부를 지닌다. 몇개 또는 모든 디스크(15)에 추가로 제공된 미세구조부는 촉매 전환공정의 효능을 증진시킬 수 있다.

Claims (15)
- 다수의 채널(4) 을 지니며, 각각의 채널이 한쪽에서 중심채널(5) 내로 배출하도록 하여, 배기 시스템, 특히, 내연기관의 배기 시스템중의 배기가스를 촉매전환시키는, 바람칙하게는, 오토 엔진(Otto engine) 용의 촉매지지체로서의 벌집 구조체에 있어서, 상기 채널이 굴곡된 상태로 중심채널 (5) 로부터 외부로 연장되고 서로 접촉하는 디스크(15,18) 로 한정하며, 적어도 몇개의 디스크(15) 가 채널(4) 의 측면경계를 형성하는 거대구조부(16)을 지니는 것을 특징으로 하는 촉매지지체로서의 벌집 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 채널(4)가 서로 상이한 굴곡구를 지니는 것을 특징으로 하는 벌집 구조체.
- 제2항에 있어서, 적어도 몇개의 디스크(15)가 상이하게 굴곡된 거대구조부(16)을 지니는 것을 특징으로 하는 벌집 구조체.
- 제1항, 제2항 및 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 각각의 채널(4)가 중심영역(17)로부터 나선형으로 외부로 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 벌집 구조체.
