Abstract

A spaced seal formation is of forming a seal over at least two spaced-apart elongate cables(111, 111') with a heat-shrinkable plastic sleeve(104) and a shaped filler member(1) containing heat-fusible sealing material(103, 105). The shaped filler member(1) having concaved sides(3, 3') and curved top and bottom surfaces(2, 2') is fully covered with the heat-fusible sealing member(103) and placed between the elongate cables within the heat-shrinkable plastic sleeve with the other sealing member(105) before they are thermally shrunk in integrity.
