Abstract
본 발명은 허프만 부호화를 이용하여 부호화하기에 적합한 부호화기에 관한 것으로, 종래에는 고정길이 부호화부가 양자화부의 양자화에 따른 몫과 나머지 중에서 나머지를 인가받아 고정길이 부호화하기 때문에 전체 비트 율이 증가하며, 구성시 롬 크기가 증가하여 전체 크기가 증가해서 실제로 구현하기가 어려웠으나, 본 발명에서는 우선적으로 양자화된 영상신호에 따른 몫과 나머지 중에서 몫을 가변길이 부호화하고, 나머지는 다시 양자화하여 몫을 가변길이 부호화함으로써 전체 비트 율이 작아지며, 두번의 양자화시 동일한 부호책을 사용하기 때문에 롬의 크기를 줄일 수 있어 전체 크기가 작아지므로 상기 결점을 개선시킬 수 있는 것이다.The present invention relates to an encoder suitable for encoding using Huffman coding.
