본 발명은 상수도용 폴리에치렌관에 죔식이음관을 접합하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 상수도용 폴리에치렌관(KSM 3408)은 압출기에 의해 압출성형시키는 것으로 하나의 폴리에치렌관과 다른 폴리에치렌관을 접속시키기 위하여는 이음관(KSM 3411)이 이용된다. 이음관은 이음관과 폴리에치렌관의 접속방법에 따라 용착식 이음관과 죔식이음관으로 나뉘는데 본 발명은 특히 죔식이음관에 관한 것이다. 폴리에치렌으로 된 주관과 주관을 죔식이음관으로 연결하는 방법이 첨부된 도면 제1도에 도시되어 있다.The present invention relates to a method of joining a fastening pipe to a polyethylene pipe for water supply. 이와 같은 방법이 제2도에 도시되어 있다. 즉, 폴리에치렌으로 된 주관의 일단에 이음관을 접합시키되 그 접합면을 가열하여 용착시키는 것이다. 폴리에치렌으로 성형된 제품은 접착이 불가능하므로 이와 같이 용착시키는 수밖에 없었다. 그렇다고 현실적으로 압출방법에 의해서만 제조될 수 있는 주관과 사출방법에 의해서만 제조될 수 있는 이음관은 이들을 한꺼번에 성형시킬수도 없으니 제2도에 도시된 바와 같이 접합하지 않으면 안되었던 것이다. 그러나, 제2도에 도시된 바와 같이 접합하려면 접합되는 부위가 균일한 평면을 유지하여야 하므로 접합부위를 면삭하여야 하고 면삭된 접합부위를 일정한 온도로 서서히 가열한 후 가열된 접합면을 압접시킨 후 서서히 식히므로 제2도와 같이 이음관이 접합된 관체를 얻을 수 있는 것이다. 그런데 이와 같은 접합공정을 수행하려면 면삭, 가열, 접합, 접합된 상태에서 완전히 냉각될때까지 흔들리지 않도록 하는 고정 및 냉각등의 공적을 필요로 할뿐 아니라 이러한 공정을 수행키 위한 면삭장치, 가열장치, 고정장치 및 냉각장치를 구비한 융착기를 마련하지 않으면 안되어 생산능률이 나쁠뿐 아니라 생산비를 앙등시키는 원인이 되어왔던 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 드물게는 접합면상에 균열이 발생하여 누수의 현상마저 있었던 것이다.This method is shown in FIG.
