Abstract
본 발명에 따르면, 기존의 배터리 셀에 대한 사이즈를 증대시키지 않더라도 파우치 시트 내부에 수용되는 전극 조립체가 차지할 수 있는 공간을 더 확보하여 전극 조립체의 사이즈를 증대시킬 수 있게 되며, 이로써 에너지 밀도를 향상시킬 수 있다.

Claims (15)
- 전극 탭을 구비하는 전극 조립체;
상기 전극 탭과 연결되는 전극 리드;
상기 전극 조립체의 상면을 커버하는 제1 시트 및 상기 전극 조립체의 하면을 커버하는 제2 시트를 포함하는 파우치 시트; 및
상기 파우치 시트의 테두리 영역에 결합되어 상기 전극 조립체의 측면을 커버하는 지지 구조체를 포함하는 배터리 셀. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 파우치 시트의 내측 면은,
열 융착성, 절연성 및 전해액에 대한 내부식성을 갖는 수지 필름으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 수지 필름은,
폴리프로필렌으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 지지 구조체는,
금속 층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 금속 층은,
알루미늄 재질로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제4항에 있어서,

상기 지지 구조체는,
상기 전극 리드가 외부로 인출되는 리드 홀을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 배터리 셀은,
상기 전극 리드의 둘레에 부착되어 상기 리드 홀을 밀봉시키는 실란트를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 셀. - 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 배터리 셀이 복수개 연결되어 구현되는 조립 이차전지.
- 제13항에 있어서,
상기 조립 이차전지는,
전기적으로 연결되는 복수 개의 상기 배터리 셀;
복수 개의 상기 배터리 셀을 수용하는 모듈 케이스;
상기 모듈 케이스의 외측으로 돌출되는 외부 단자; 및
상기 배터리 셀과 외부 단자 사이를 전기적으로 연결하는 버스 바를 포함하는 배터리 모듈인 것을 특징으로 하는 조립 이차전지. - 제14항에 있어서,
상기 조립 이차전지는,
복수 개의 상기 배터리 모듈; 및
서로 인접한 상기 배터리 모듈 사이를 전기적으로 연결하는 인터 커넥팅 바를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 조립 이차전지.
