Claims (84)
- 치료 장치를 포함하는, 환자의 당뇨병을 치료하기 위한 당뇨병 치료용 시스템으로서,
상기 치료 장치는,
십이지장 점막의 평가를 허용하도록 구성되고 배열되는 관찰용 구성 요소와;
치료를 위해 환자의 십이지장 점막의 표적 영역을 선택하도록 구성되고 배열되는 선택용 구성 요소; 그리고
환자의 십이지장을 환자의 위 및 공장에 대하여 해부학적으로 온전한 상태로 유지하는 방식으로 치료가 이루어지도록, 환자의 십이지장 점막의 치료 영역을 치료하도록 구성되고 배열되는 치료용 구성 요소를 포함하며,
상기 치료 영역은 환자의 공장 점막과 위장 점막 중 적어도 하나의 일 영역과 인접하는 십이지장 점막의 일 영역을 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 치료용 구성 요소는 환자의 십이지장 점막을 제거하도록 되어 있고, 이 치료는 십이지장 점막의 줄기 세포의 삭제를 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 치료용 구성 요소는 십이지장 점막의 조직을 절제하도록 되어 있는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 치료용 구성 요소는 십이지장 점막을 절제하도록 되어 있으며, 십이지장 점막의 절제를 위한 절제용 하위 구성 요소가 장착되어 있는 제 1 벌룬(balloon)을 더 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 치료용 구성 요소는 환자의 십이지장 점막을 제거하도록 되어 있고, 십이지장 점막의 적어도 일부를 깎아내기 위한 쉐이버(shaver) 및/또는 스크래퍼(scraper)를 더 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 치료용 구성 요소의 상기 쉐이버 및/또는 스크래퍼는 십이지장 점막의 치료를 위한 절단 장치가 장착된 벌룬을 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 조직 확장 장치를 더 포함하는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 조직 확장 장치는 십이지장의 점막하 조직을 확장시키도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 당뇨병 치료용 시스템.
- 환자를 치료하기 위한 환자 치료용 시스템으로서,
말단부를 포함하는 세장형 튜브; 그리고
상기 세장형 튜브 말단부 상에 배치되는 치료용 요소를 포함하며,
상기 치료용 요소는 표적 조직을 치료하도록 그리고 비표적 조직에 미치는 악영향을 감소시키도록 구성되고 배열되며,
당뇨병; 유형 1의 당뇨병; 유형 2의 당뇨병; 과콜레스테롤혈증; 신진 대사 장애; 질병; 소아 지방 변증; 비만; 기관지 폐포 암과 같은 암; 그리고 방광염 중 하나 이상을 치료하도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템. - 제 9 항에 있어서, 장기간 이식부(chronic implant)를 포함하지 않는 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 환자 치료용 시스템은 치료 점막을 대체하는 점막 조직이 이전 치료 점막과 상이한 기능을 나타내도록 하는 방식으로 십이지장의 점막을 치료하도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 상이한 기능은 상이한 분비물; 분비물의 상이한 양; 및/또는 상이한 흡수 특성을 포함하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직은 제 1 부분과 제 2 부분을 포함하며,
상기 환자 치료용 시스템은 상기 제 1 표적 조직 부분을 치료하기 위한 제 1 치료를 수행하도록 그리고 상기 제 2 표적 조직 부분을 치료하기 위한 제 2 치료를 수행하도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템. - 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 조직 부분은 상기 제 2 조직 부분과 중첩되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 13 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 치료는 상기 제 2 치료와 유사하지 않은 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직의 치료는 변경 세포 기능; 세포 자멸; 고사; 순간 세포 자멸; 세포 괴사; 세포의 변성; 세포의 제거; 그리고 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는 세포 변화를 포함하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직은 치료에 의해 소망하는 치료 효과를 야기하는 조직을 포함하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.

상기 조직의 안전 마진은 점막하 층의 적어도 일부 층을 포함하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템. - 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직은 깊이, 길이 그리고 폭을 포함하며,
상기 깊이는 길이 및/또는 폭을 따라 변하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템. - 제 20 항에 있어서, 상기 환자 치료용 시스템은 제 1 치료 단계 및 제 2 치료 단계에서 표적 조직을 치료하도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 21 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 치료 단계 및 상기 제 2 치료 단계는 상이한 에너지 운반을 포함하는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.
- 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직은 제 1 조직 부분과 제 2 조직 부분을 포함하며,
상기 환자 치료용 시스템은 상기 제 1 조직 부분과 상기 제 2 조직 부분을 순차적으로 치료하도록 구성되고 배열되는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템. - 제 23 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 조직 부분은 상기 제 2 조직 부분과 상이한 특성을 갖는 것인 환자 치료용 시스템.

상기 환자는 당뇨병; 유형 1의 당뇨병; 유형 2의 당뇨병; 과콜레스테롤혈증; 신진 대사 장애; 셀리악 병; 비만; 기관지 폐포 암과 같은 암; 방광염; 그리고 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는 질병이나 장애에 대해 치료받는 것인 환자의 치료 방법. - 제 74 항에 있어서, 상기 표적 조직은 제 1 부분과 제 2 부분을 포함하며,
상기 환자의 치료 방법은 상기 제 1 표적 조직 부분을 치료하기 위한 제 1 치료를 수행하는 단계; 그리고
상기 제 2 표적 조직 부분을 치료하기 위한 제 2 치료를 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것인 환자의 치료 방법. - 제 75 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 조직 부분은 상기 제 2 조직 부분과 중첩되는 것인 환자의 치료 방법.

환자가 섭취한 음식물과 반응하지 않은 환자의 담즙 산염과 췌장 효소에 접근하는 단계; 그리고
상기 미반응 담즙 산염과 췌장 효소를 환자의 십이지장으로 운반하는 단계를 포함하는 치료 방법. - 환자의 당뇨병을 치료하기 위한 치료 방법으로서,
환자가 섭취한 음식물과 반응하지 않은 환자의 담즙 산염과 췌장 효소에 접근하는 단계;
섭취 음식물이 환자의 담즙 산염과 췌장 효소와 반응하는 것을 방지하는 단계와;
섭취 음식물이 환자의 십이지장 점막과 반응하는 것을 방지하는 단계; 그리고
상기 접근 담즙 산염과 췌장 효소를 환자의 공장으로 운반하는 단계를 포함하는 치료 방법.
