Description

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DISASTER WARNING MESSAGE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM}

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a disaster warning message in a wireless communication system.

In general, mobile communication systems have been developed to provide voice services while guaranteeing user activity. However, the mobile communication system is gradually expanding not only to voice but also to data service, and now it has developed to the extent of providing high-speed data service. However, in a mobile communication system in which a service is currently provided, a lack of resources and users demand higher speed services, and therefore, a more advanced mobile communication system is required.

On the other hand, disaster warning messages for disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes are transmitted to the mobile station through the mobile communication network. Is being provided.

Disaster information of ETWS and PWS is provided to the base station as text information. Then, the base station receiving the text information cell broadcasts the disaster text to the terminal using system information blocks 10 and 11. At this time, the base station provides a time stamp and a digital signature to the system information block 10 so that the terminal can perform integrity check and duplication detection of the corresponding disaster character. Send it in addition.

The structure of system information block 10 that includes information about the disaster character is shown in FIG. In this case, FIG. 1A shows information elements for system information block time 10. And (b) of FIG. 1 shows that warning security information of the information element may include a time stamp and a digital signature. And (c) shows the fields and their respective sizes for the time stamp and digital signature.

However, there is a problem that it is impossible to apply security information to the LTE (Long Term Evolution) network that is currently commercialized since the standardization work for the digital signature defined above is not completed. If the security information is not applied when transmitting a disaster warning message, there is a possibility of a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack which continuously displays invalid disaster characters sent by the wrong base station and makes the terminal unavailable.

Despite these problems, it is urgent to prepare for confrontation because it is impossible not to provide disaster text service because of the increase of heavy rain and tsunami caused by abnormal weather.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a method and apparatus for controlling the reception and display of a disaster warning message of a terminal in a wireless communication system.

Disaster warning message receiving and display method of the terminal in the wireless communication system of the present invention for solving the above problems generating step of generating a disaster warning message receiving allow list for allowing the reception and display of the disaster warning message, the base station And a receiving step of receiving a disaster warning message transmitted from the network and determining whether to display the disaster warning message according to whether a network identifier of the base station is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list.

In addition, in the wireless communication system of the present invention, a terminal receiving and displaying a disaster warning message includes a wireless communication unit for receiving a disaster warning message transmitted from a base station, and a disaster warning storing network identifiers for receiving and displaying the disaster warning message. And a storage unit for storing a message reception allowance list and a disaster warning message reception control unit for determining whether to display the disaster warning message according to whether the network identifier of the base station is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list. .

According to the present invention, the terminal can efficiently control the display of the disaster warning message received from the network.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that, in the drawings, the same components are denoted by the same reference symbols as possible. Further, the detailed description of well-known functions and constructions that may obscure the gist of the present invention will be omitted.

A method of transmitting and receiving a disaster warning message (or an ETWS message, which is the same below) according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described by dividing into the first to third embodiments.

≪ Embodiment 1 >

The first embodiment broadcasts in a base station based on a Home Public Land Mobile Network (HPLMN) (or a Home Operator Network Identifier) and a Home Equivalent Public Land Mobile Network (HEPLMN) (or a Home Equal Operator Network Identifier) stored in a terminal. The present invention relates to a method of displaying a disaster warning message on a terminal only when the PLMN broadcasted corresponds to the HPLMN or HEPLMN stored in the terminal.

Here, HPLMN means an identifier for a network subscribed to the terminal, HEPLMN means another identifier for a network operated by the same operator as the operator of the HPLMN.

In describing the first embodiment, it will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3.

2 is a flowchart illustrating a process of transmitting and receiving a disaster warning message according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

First, in step S200, the terminal extracts an HPLMN, that is, a network identifier subscribed to by the terminal, based on the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM). Similarly, the terminal extracts the HEPLMN set in the USIM. In addition, the terminal sets the extracted HPLMN and HEPLMN as a default value in the disaster warning message reception allow list (ETWS / PWS accept PLMN list).

In operation S210, the cell broadcast entity (CBE) requests a disaster warning message broadcast from the cell broadcast center (CBC).

The CBC then delivers the disaster alert message to a base station (eNB) via a mobility management entity (MME). In more detail, the CBC, which is requested to broadcast a disaster warning message from the CBE, transmits a write replace warning request message to the MME in step S220, and a disaster warning response message (from the MME in step S230). Write Replace Warning Confirm). The MME transmits a disaster warning request message (Write Replace Warning Request) received from the CBC in step S250 to the eNB, and receives a disaster warning response message (Write Replace Warning Reponse) from the eNB in step S260.

Then, in step S270, the base station broadcasts the received disaster warning message. In this case, the base station broadcasts the PLMNs supported by the base station regardless of whether or not a disaster warning message is broadcast. In other words, the system information block 1 broadcasted by the base station includes an identifier (ID) for the PLMN supported by the base station.

Then, the terminal receives the system information block from the base station and checks the PLMN supported by the base station. The terminal determines whether the checked PLMN is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list stored in the terminal. When included, the terminal displays the received disaster warning message to the user. However, when not included, the terminal does not display the received disaster warning message to the user.

3 is a flowchart illustrating an operation sequence of a terminal according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

First, in step S310, the terminal is powered on. Then, the terminal proceeds to step S320 to extract information about the network subscribed to the terminal, that is, HPLMN based on the IMSI stored in the USIM. The terminal determines whether the extracted HPLMN is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list provided, and adds the extracted HPLMN to the list when it is not included.

The terminal proceeds to step S330 to check the HEPLMN list in the USIM. The terminal determines whether the PLMN in the HEPLMN list is included in the disaster alert message reception allowance list, and adds the identified HEPLMN to the list when it is not included.

In operation S340, the terminal receives a disaster warning message broadcast from a wireless network, that is, a base station. Then, in step S350, the terminal checks the PLMN of the base station broadcasting the disaster warning message.

Subsequently, in step S360, the terminal determines whether the PLMN of the base station broadcasting the disaster warning message is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list set by the terminal. When included, the terminal proceeds to step S370 to display the received disaster warning message to the user.

On the other hand, when not included, the terminal proceeds to step S380 and discards the received disaster warning message without displaying to the user.

Second Embodiment

According to the second embodiment, after the terminal authenticates to the network, a disaster warning is performed using a registered PLMN (or registered operator network identifier) and an equivalent PLMN of the registered PLMN (PLMN). A method of setting a PLMN to display a message.

According to the first embodiment of the present invention described above, when the terminal is located in a roaming network rather than the home network, a disaster warning message may not be received. The second embodiment of the present invention provides a method for receiving a disaster warning message even when a terminal is located in a roaming network. This will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.

4 is a flowchart illustrating a process of transmitting and receiving a disaster warning message according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

First, in step S400, the terminal performs a registration and authentication procedure through an attach to a network or a tracking area update (TAU) operation. After the end of authentication, the terminal sets the registered PLMN and the PLMN equivalent to the registered PLMN in the disaster warning message reception allow list. In this case, when the MME configures existing equivalent PLMNs and other disaster warning PLMNs (ETWS PLMNs), the MME includes a separate disaster warning message reception allow list in the attach / TAU accept message.

In operation S410, the cell broadcast entity (CBE) requests a disaster warning message broadcast to the cell broadcast center (CBC).

The CBC then delivers the disaster alert message to a base station (eNB) via a mobility management entity (MME). In more detail, the CBC, which is requested to broadcast a disaster warning message from the CBE, transmits a write replace warning request message to the MME in step S420, and a disaster warning response message (from the MME in step S430). Write Replace Warning Confirm). The MME transmits a disaster warning request message (Write Replace Warning Request) received from the CBC in step S450 to the eNB, and receives a disaster warning response message (Write Replace Warning Reponse) from the eNB in step S460.

Then, the base station broadcasts the received disaster warning message in step S470. In this case, the base station broadcasts the PLMNs supported by the base station regardless of whether or not a disaster warning message is broadcast. In other words, the system information block 1 broadcasted by the base station includes an identifier (ID) for the PLMN supported by the base station.

Then, the terminal receives the system information block transmitted from the base station and checks the PLMN supported by the base station. The terminal determines whether the identified PLMN is included in an internally stored disaster warning message reception allowance list. When included, the terminal displays the received disaster warning message to the user. However, when not included, the terminal does not display the received disaster warning message to the user.

Meanwhile, when the UE receives and registers an attach accept message or a routing area update accept message to another PLMN network, a conventional disaster warning message is received with a new registered PLMM and a PLMN equal to the registered PLMN. Overwrite the whitelist.

5 is a flowchart illustrating an operation sequence of a terminal according to the second embodiment of the present invention.

First, the terminal is powered on in step S510. The terminal proceeds to step S520 and attempts to attach to the currently located network, and then receives an attach accept message. In step S530, the terminal stores the disaster warning message reception allowance list in a history set if it is not empty. The history set has the same format as the disaster warning message reception allow list to be described later, and when the disaster warning message reception allow list is updated, information of the PLMNs before the update is stored with an arbitrary identifier.

In step S540, the terminal sets the registration PLMN included in the access approval message and the PLMN equivalent to the registration PLMN as a disaster warning message reception allow list.

Subsequently, the terminal receives a disaster warning message broadcast from the network, that is, the base station in step S550. Then, in step S560, the terminal checks the PLMN of the base station that transmitted the disaster warning message. In step S570, the terminal determines whether the checked PLMN is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list stored by the terminal. If included, the terminal proceeds to step S575 to display the received disaster warning message to the user.

On the other hand, if not included, the terminal proceeds to step S580 to check whether the history set use is set. If the history set usage is not set, the terminal proceeds to step S590 and discards the received disaster warning message without displaying it to the user. On the other hand, if the usage of the history set is set, the terminal proceeds to step S585 and determines whether any one of the PLMNs broadcast from the corresponding base station broadcasting the disaster warning message is included in the history set. That is, the terminal determines whether the current disaster alert message reception allow list does not include the PLMN of the base station, but is included in PLMNs that have been previously registered.

If included, the terminal proceeds to step S575 to display the disaster warning message received to the user, if not included, the terminal proceeds to step S590 discards without displaying the disaster warning message received to the user.

Third Embodiment

The third embodiment relates to a method for setting a PLMN for displaying a disaster warning message by using a registration PLMN and a PLMN equivalent to a registration PLMN after the terminal authenticates the network.

Although the second embodiment of the present invention enables to receive and display a disaster warning message even when the terminal is located in the rowing network, the terminal may not receive the disaster warning message until the network is authenticated.

In the third embodiment of the present invention, in order to solve this problem, when the terminal receives the disaster warning message before network registration, a procedure for setting whether to display the corresponding disaster warning message to the user is added. At this time, if there is only one PLMN broadcasted from the base station which sent the disaster warning message, the PLMN is included in the disaster warning message receiving allow list. Only selected PLMNs will be included in the Disaster Alert Message Acceptance List. The disaster warning message reception allow list including the PLMN selected by the user may be referred to as a user setting-disaster warning reception allow list.

The user setting-disaster warning message reception permission list may replace the disaster warning message reception permission lists set in the first and second embodiments. Alternatively, the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list and the disaster warning message reception permission list according to the first and second embodiments are set independently, and the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list and the disaster warning message reception are also set. It is also possible to display a disaster warning message broadcast on the union PLMNs in the allow list.

6 is a flowchart illustrating a process of transmitting and receiving a disaster warning message according to a third embodiment of the present invention.

In step S610, the cell broadcast entity (CBE) requests the cell broadcast center (CBC) to request a disaster warning message broadcast.

The CBC then delivers the disaster alert message to a base station (eNB) via a mobility management entity (MME). In more detail, the CBC, which has been requested to broadcast a disaster warning message from the CBE, transmits a write replace warning request message to the MME in step S620, and a disaster warning response message from the MME in step S630. Write Replace Warning Confirm). The MME transmits a disaster warning request message (Write Replace Warning Request) received from the CBC in step S650 to the eNB, and receives a disaster warning response message (Write Replace Warning Reponse) from the eNB in step S660.

Then, the base station broadcasts the received disaster warning message in step S670. In this case, the base station broadcasts the PLMNs supported by the base station regardless of whether or not a disaster warning message is broadcast. In other words, the system information block 1 broadcasted by the base station includes an identifier (ID) for the PLMN supported by the base station.

In step S680, the terminal receiving the disaster warning message broadcast by the base station determines whether any one of the PLMNs broadcast by the base station is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list set in the terminal. If it is included, display the received disaster warning message. If not, query the user to set whether to display the received disaster warning message. At this time, the terminal displays all the PLMNs broadcasted by the base station. Thereafter, when the user selects the disaster warning message reception and the PLMN, the terminal additionally sets it to the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list.

The terminal displays the disaster warning message broadcast from the PLMN included in the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list. In this case, the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list may be used in combination with the disaster warning message reception allow list set by the network.

The user-configured disaster alert safelist is set by the user whenever the PLMN that sent the disaster alert message is not included in the previous user-configured disaster alert allow list or the network-configured alert alert receive list. It can be updated by displaying the input.

7 is a flowchart illustrating an operation sequence of a terminal according to the third embodiment of the present invention.

First, in step S710, the terminal receives a disaster warning message broadcast from the network, that is, the base station. Then, the terminal proceeds to step S720 to check the PLMN of the base station broadcasting the disaster warning message.

If the pre-stored disaster warning message reception allowance list is not empty, the terminal determines whether the PLMN of the checked base station is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list in step S730. When included, the terminal displays the received disaster warning message to the user.

On the other hand, if not included, the terminal proceeds to step S740 to check the user configuration (configuration) for receiving a disaster warning message. If the check result is set to unconditional reception, the terminal proceeds to step S750 and displays the received disaster warning message to the user. On the other hand, if it is set not to receive, the terminal proceeds to step S770 and discards the received disaster warning message without displaying to the user.

On the other hand, if the user setting is set to receive only for the agreed PLMN, the terminal confirms whether to add the PLMN broadcast from the base station to the user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list. If the user agrees to the addition, the terminal adds the PLMN agreed to by the user to the user setting-disaster warning message receiving allow list, and displays the received disaster warning message to the user.

8 is a block diagram showing the internal structure of a terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 8, the terminal of the present invention may include a wireless communication unit 810, a storage unit 820, and a control unit 830.

The wireless communication unit 810 transmits and receives a control signal or data with the base station. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the wireless communication unit 810 may receive a disaster warning message transmitted from the base station, or transmit and receive messages for attaching to a network or performing a TAU procedure with the base station.

The storage unit 820 may store a program for controlling the overall operation of the terminal. The storage unit 820 according to an embodiment of the present invention may store a disaster warning message reception allow list or a user setting-disaster warning message reception allow list for allowing the reception and display of the disaster warning message.

The controller 830 controls the signal flow between each block to control the overall operation of the terminal. The control unit 830 may further include a disaster warning message reception control unit 831 as a block for controlling the reception and display of the disaster warning message according to an embodiment of the present invention.

The disaster warning message reception control unit 831 controls whether to receive and display the disaster warning message according to whether the PLMN of the base station which has transmitted the disaster warning message is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list previously stored in the terminal.

More specifically, according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the disaster warning message receiving control unit 831 is limited to the case where the PLMN of the base station which has transmitted the disaster warning message is included in the disaster warning message reception allowance list previously stored in the terminal. Display a disaster warning message. In this case, the disaster alert message reception allowance list includes at least one of HPLMN obtained from IMSI or HEPLMN extracted from USIM.

In addition, according to the second embodiment of the present invention, the disaster alert message reception control unit 831 is a case where the PLMN of the base station that transmitted the disaster alert message is included in the disaster alert message reception allowance list obtained by the terminal through the network registration procedure; Only the disaster warning message is displayed. In this case, the disaster warning message reception allowance list includes at least one of a registered PLMN or an equivalent PLMN of the registered PLMN.

In addition, according to the third embodiment of the present invention, the disaster warning message receiving control unit 831 may not be included in the disaster warning message receiving allow list of the terminal that transmits the disaster warning message, but through a separate user setting. Control to display the disaster warning message.

The embodiments of the present invention disclosed in the present specification and drawings are intended to be illustrative only and not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that other modifications based on the technical idea of the present invention can be carried out in addition to the embodiments disclosed herein.

For example, in the above-described embodiments of the present invention, when the PLMN received from the base station is included in the disaster warning message reception allow list, an example of displaying the disaster warning message to the user is illustrated, but is not necessarily limited thereto. In other words, when the PLMN received from the base station is included in the disaster warning message rejection list, the present invention may be modified to an embodiment in which the corresponding disaster warning message is not displayed to the user.
