Abstract

본 발명은 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너에 관한 것으로, 차량의 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)와, 상기 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)와 접하는 제1결합면(22)과, 상기 제1결합면(22)에서 차량의 전방으로 연장되어 형성된 연장면(24)과, 상기 연장면(24)에서 차량의 후방으로 굴곡되어 형성된 제2결합면(26)을 포함하는 스티프너(20)와, 상기 제2결합면과 일면이 결합되는 범퍼커버(30)를 포함한다.

Description

차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너{STIFFNER UNITED WITH BUMPER COVER FOR VEHICLE}
본 발명은 보행자의 차량 충돌시 보행자의 안전을 보호하는 차량의 스티프너에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 스티프너의 일면을 차량의 범퍼커버에 결합될 수 있도록 형상을 변경하여 보행자 충돌시 충격흡수성이 개선된 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 일반적으로 차량의 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)에는 차량의 후드(40) 오픈시 미관 향상을 위해 범퍼커버(30)가 장착된다.
또한, 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)의 하부에는 보행자의 레그 폼 테스트에 대응하기 위하여 스티프너(20)가 장착되어, 보행자가 차량에 충돌한 경우, 충격을 흡수하고 보행자가 용이하게 후드로 넘어질 수 있도록 하여, 사고시 보행자를 보호할 수 있게 되어 있다.
그러나, 종래의 차량의 스티프너(20)는 범퍼커버(30)와 분리되어 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)에 장착되기 때문에 보행자 충돌시 범퍼커버(30)에 의해 먼저 충격을 받게 되어 스티프너(20) 장착의 효과가 반감된다는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 이러한 종래의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 스티프너를 범퍼커버에 결합하여 충격흡수성이 개선된 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명인 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너는 차량의 프론트엔드모듈캐리어와, 상기 프론트엔드모듈캐리어와 접하는 제1결합면과, 상기 제1결합면에서 차량의 전방으로 연장되어 형성된 연장면과, 상기 연장면에서 차량의 후방으로 굴곡되어 형성된 제2결합면을 포함하는 스티프너와, 상기 제2결합면과 일면이 결합되는 범퍼커버를 포함한다.
상기 스티프너의 연장면은 수평면에서 소정 각도 상방향으로 기울어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 경사면에는 충격흡수수단이 형성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 충격흡수수단은 차량의 전후방향으로 길게 형성된 홀인 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 상기한 기술적 구성으로 인해, 후드 오픈시 차량의 미관이 유지되면서, 충격흡수성이 향상된다.
이하에서는 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명에 따른 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너(20)의 일 실시예를 보다 상세히 설명한다.
도 2에 개시된 바와 같이, 차량의 스티프너(20)에는 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)와 접하는 제1결합면(22)에 홀(22a)이 형성되고, 바람직하게는 볼트를 통해 스티프너(20)를 상기 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)에 결합시킨다.
또한, 제1결합면(22)에서 차량의 전방으로 연장되어 연장면(24)이 형성된다. 이러한 연장면(24)은 보행자가 차량에 충돌한 경우 충격흡수를 위해 변형이 용이한 재질로 제조된다.
연장면(24)에서 차량의 후방으로 굴곡되어 제2결합면(26)이 형성되는데, 이러한 제2결합면(26)에는 범퍼커버(30)와 결합될 수 있도록 결합홀(26a)이 형성되는데, 범퍼커버(30)와는 리테이너로 결합하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 스티프너(20)의 연장면(24)은 수평면에서 소정 각도 상방향으로 기울어진 것이 바람직한데, 이는 보행자가 차량에 충돌한 경우, 차량의 후드(40) 방향으로 용이하게 넘어질 수 있도록 함으로써, 보행자의 더 큰 부상을 방지할 수 있도록 하기 위함이다.
도 3에 개시된 스티프너(20)는 변형용이한 재질로 제조되고, 바람직하게는 PP(polypropylene)재질로 제조되며, 더욱 바람직하게는 충격흡수성을 향상시키기 위해 충격흡수수단(24a)이 형성된다.
충격흡수수단(24a)은 연장면(24)에 차량이 전후 방향으로 길게 홀을 형성하는 것이 바람직한데, 보행자가 차량의 전방에서 충돌하는 경우, 홀이 형성된 부분 은 보다 잘 변형이 이루어지게되고, 이로 인해 스티프너(20)의 충격흡수성이 개선된다.

Claims (4)

  1. 차량의 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)와,
    상기 프론트엔드모듈캐리어(10)와 접하는 제1결합면(22)과, 상기 제1결합면(22)에서 차량의 전방으로 연장되어 형성된 연장면(24)과, 상기 연장면(24)에서 차량의 후방으로 굴곡되어 형성된 제2결합면(26)을 포함하는 스티프너(20)와,
    상기 제2결합면(26)과 일면이 결합되는 범퍼커버(30)를 포함하는 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 스티프너(20)의 연장면(24)은 수평면에서 소정 각도 상방향으로 기울어진 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너.
  3. 청구항 1 또는 청구항 2 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 경사면에는 충격흡수수단(24a)이 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너.
  4. 청구항 3항에 있어서, 상기 충격흡수수단(24a)은 차량의 전후방향으로 길게 형성된 홀인 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 범퍼커버 결합형 스티프너.
