The present invention relates to a battery cooling device for a vehicle, and more particularly, by installing an inlet of an intake duct under the rear seat to inhale air from the lower side of the vehicle and to cool the battery, thereby reducing noise and inhaling cold air. The present invention relates to a vehicle battery cooling device having improved cooling performance.

In general, hybrid vehicles are powered by gasoline and diesel engines and motors as auxiliary power sources.

That is, at low speed driving, the motor is driven as the power source, and at a certain speed or more, the power source is switched to the engine to run.

On the other hand, a battery is used as a power source for driving the motor. Since the battery serves as an important factor for the life of the hybrid vehicle as well as the electric vehicle, the battery must be thoroughly managed in order to operate the battery efficiently. .

However, when a conventional battery is used for a long time, heat is generated from the battery, and when the battery is charged, the internal temperature rapidly increases, and thus the temperature rise of the battery shortens the battery life and uses the battery in an optimal state. It will not be possible.

Therefore, in order to maintain and improve the performance of the battery, a cooling device 1 is required, and currently used battery cooling methods are largely divided into air cooling and water cooling.

Since the water-cooled cooling method requires a cooling water channel and additionally requires a heat exchanger and a circulation pump, the manufacturing cost is excessively used. Hereinafter, only the air-cooling method will be described.

In the air-cooled cooling method, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the suction duct 30 for sucking air in the vehicle and the discharge duct 40 for discharging the sucked air are respectively provided in the battery case 10 installed in the trunk room 2 of the vehicle. It is configured to install, the blower fan 50 is additionally provided on the discharge duct 40.

Here, the inlet of the suction duct 30 is connected to / installed on the tray 4 side located at the upper end of the rear seat 3 so as to suck the upper side air in the cabin.

Therefore, when the blower fan 50 is operated, the upper side air in the compartment is sucked into the battery case 10 through the suction duct 30, and the sucked air cools the battery 20 and then discharges the air. It is discharged through the duct 40.

However, in the conventional cooling device 1, the inlet of the suction duct 30 is installed on the side of the tray 4 located at the top of the rear seat 3 so that the inlet is located at the same height as the passenger's ear. There is a problem that the suction noise is loud, and when the objects placed on the tray 4 block the inlet of the suction duct 30, there is a problem that the cooling performance is lowered.

In addition, since the upper side of the vehicle has a higher air temperature than the lower side and is exposed to sunlight, hot air flows into the inlet of the suction duct 30 to further reduce cooling performance.

An object of the present invention for solving the above problems is to install the inlet of the suction duct in the lower side of the rear seat to suck the air in the lower side in the cabin to cool the battery to reduce the noise and the cold air is sucked and cooled It is to provide a vehicle battery cooling device with improved performance.

The present invention for achieving the above object is installed in the trunk room of the vehicle and the battery case having a battery therein, and the suction duct and the battery case to suck the air in the cabin into the battery case to cool the battery In the vehicle battery cooling apparatus including a discharge duct for discharging the air inside, the suction duct is characterized in that the inlet is formed in the lower side of the rear seat of the vehicle to suck the air in the lower side of the vehicle interior.

In addition, any one of the suction duct and the discharge duct is characterized in that the blowing fan is installed.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Repeated description of the same construction and operation as in the prior art will be omitted.
