Claims (9)
- 특별히 잘못된 윤곽 효과 보상(false contour effect compensation)을 위해 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법으로서, 상기 비디오 화상은 픽셀로 구성되며, 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 디지털 코드 워드를 통해 디지털적으로 코딩되고, 여기서 각각의 상기 디지털 코드 워드 비트에는 이후로 서브-필드로 지칭되는 특정 지속 기간이 할당되고, 상기 특정 지속 기간 동안에는 전체적인 픽셀이나 또는 상기 픽셀의 성분이 활성화되며, 여기서 픽셀에 대한 움직임 벡터가 계산되고, 상기 움직임 벡터가 상기 픽셀의 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드를 재-코딩하기 위해 사용되는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법에 있어서,최종 움직임 벡터가 상기 현재 픽셀(P8)에 대해 현재 픽셀이 앞선 비디오 화상에서의 어느 위치로부터 이동하는지를 결정하는 방식으로, 상기 움직임 벡터가 계산되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 재-코딩 단계는 상기 계산된 움직임 벡터에 기초하여 상기 현재 픽셀의 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트에 대한 드래그 좌표(drag coordinates)(Δxn, Δyn)를 계산하는 단계를 포함하고, 여기서 상기 드래그 좌표(Δxn, Δyn)는 상기 현재 픽셀(P8)의 대응하는 상기 새로운 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트를 결정하기 위해서, 상기 비디오 화상에서 픽셀을 선택하고, 상기 선택된 픽셀의 대응하는 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트를 사용하는데 사용되는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 드래그 좌표(Δxn, Δyn)는및에 따라 계산되고, 여기서 Δxn은 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트가 상기 현재 픽셀에 대해서 획득될 필요가 있는 픽셀의 x 방향으로의 상대적인 위치를 나타내고, Δyn은 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트가 상기 현재 픽셀에 대해서 획득될 필요가 있는 픽셀의 y방향으로의 상대적인 위치를 나타내며, VX는 상기 움직임 벡터의 x-성분이고 Vy는 상기 움직임 벡터의 y-성분이고, G(n)는 상기 프레임 기간에서 상기 서브-필드의 중심(center of gravity)의 위치를 나타내고, n은 상기 현재 서브-필드의 수이며, Dur(F)는 상기 프레임의 지속 기간인, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 세 개의 서브-필드 코드 워드가, 각각의 컬러 성분에 대해서 하나씩, 픽셀에 할당되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 서브-필드는 어드레싱 기간, 유지 기간 및 소거(erasing) 기간으로 구성되는 비디오 프레임 기간의 서브-기간인 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 3항 내지 제 5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 프레임 기간에서 각 서브-필드(SF)의 중심(CG)은 G(n)=S(n)+Dur(N)/2에 따라 계산되고, 여기서, G(n)는 상기 프레임 기간에서 중심의 위치를 나타내고, n은 상기 현재 서브-필드의 수이고, S(n)는 상기 현재 서브-필드의 시작 위치를 나타내며, Dur(n)는 상기 현재 서브-필드의 지속 기간을 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 6항 중 어느 한 항의 방법을 실행하기 위한 비디오 화상 처리 장치로서, 비디오 화상은 픽셀로 구성되며, 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 디지털 코드 워드를 통해 디지털적으로 코딩되고, 여기서 각각의 디지털 코드 워드 비트에는 이후로 서브-필드로 지칭되는 특정 지속 기간이 할당되고, 상기 특정 지속 기간 동안에는 전체적인 픽셀이나 또는 상기 픽셀의 구성요소가 활성화되는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 상기 장치는,- 현재 비디오 화상을 적어도 하나의 앞선 비디오 화상과 비교함으로써 상기 현재 비디오 화상의 상기 픽셀에 대한 움직임 벡터(V)를 계산하기 위한 움직임 추정기(12)를 포함하고, 상기 최종 움직임 벡터는 현재 픽셀(P8)에 대해 상기 현재픽셀(P8)이 앞선 비디오 화상에서의 어느 위치로부터 이동하는지를 결정하기 위해서 규정되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 장치.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 계산된 움직임 벡터에 기초하여 상기 현재 픽셀(P8)의 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트에 대한 드래그 좌표(Δxn, Δyn)가 계산되는 서브 필드 재-코딩 유닛(13)과 선택 유닛(13)과, 상기 드래그 좌표(Δxn, Δyn)가 비디오 화상에서 픽셀을 선택하고 상기 현재 픽셀(P8)의 대응하는 상기 새로운 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트를 결정하기 위해서, 상기 선택된 픽셀의 대응하는 상기 서브-필드 코드 워드 비트를 사용하기 위해 사용되는 선택 유닛(13)을 더 포함하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 장치.
- 제 7항 또는 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 장치는 매트릭스 디스플레이, 특히 플라즈마, LCOS(Liquid Crystal On Silicon) 또는 DMD 디스플레이를 포함하는, 비디오 화상을 처리하기 위한 장치.
