Claims (6)
- 광신호가 전송되는 광선로와, 상기 광선로에 설치됨과 더불어 소정의 회토류 이온이 도우프된 광증폭광섬유, 소정의 파장을 갖는 펌핑광을 출력하는 펌핑광원 및 상기 펌핑광을 광증폭광섬유에 입사시키는 멀티플렉서로 구성된 광섬유증폭기에 있어서,서로 다른 파장에서 높은 증폭이득을 갖도록 상기 광증폭광섬유의 길이나 상기 펌핑광원의 출력 세기를 설정한 복수의 상기 광섬유증폭기를 직렬로 설치하여 구성함으로써 서로 다른 파장을 갖는 입력 광신호의 전 파장대가 최고 수준의 증폭이득으로 평탄화되도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,1540㎚대의 단파장과 1560㎚대의 장파장에서 높은 증폭이득을 갖도록 상기 광증폭광섬유의 길이나 상기 펌핑광원의 출력 세기를 설정한 두 개의 광섬유증폭기를 직렬로 접속하여 구성함으로써 서로 다른 파장을 갖는 입력 광신호의 전 파장대가 최고 수준의 증폭이득으로 평탄화되도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
- 광신호가 전송되는 광선로와;상기 광선로에 설치됨과 더블어 소정의 희토류 이온이 도우프되어 특정 파장에서 최고이득을 갖는 제1 광증폭광섬유;상기 제1 광증폭광섬유와 다른 파장에서 최고 이득을 갖는 제2 광증폭광섬유;소정의 세기를 갖는 펌핑광을 상기 제1 및 제2 광증폭광섬유에 대해 각각 출력하는 제1 및 제2 펌핑광원;상기 펌핑광을 상기 제1 및 제2 광증폭광섬유에 각각 결합시키는 제1 및 제2 멀티플렉서를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 광증폭광섬유 사이에 설치되고 제1 광증폭광섬유에서 출력된 증폭된 출력광 중에서 일정 대역의 파장을 제외한 나머지 파장을 제거하는 대역통과형 필터을 더 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 대역통과형 필터와 상기 제2 광증폭광섬유 사이에 설치되어 각각 다른 광증폭특성을 갖는 상기 제1 및 제2 광증폭광섬유가 다른 쪽의 펌핑광의 영향을 받지 않도록 하는 광 아이솔레이터를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징을 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
- 제 3항에 있어서,입력 광신호 또는 증폭된 출력 광신호를 소정 비율로 나누어 분기시키도록 상기 광섬유증폭기의 양단에 설치된 제1 및 제2 탭커플러와;상기 탭커플러에서 분기된 입력 광신호와 증폭 광신호를 전기적 신호로 변환하는 제1 및 제2 포토다이오드 및;상기 포토다이오드에서 입력된 전기적 신호를 이용하여 상기 광섬유증폭기가 안정된 증폭출력을 얻을 수 있도록 제어하는 콘트롤회로를 더 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 이득 평탄화 광섬유증폭기.
