Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 하기의 화합물:
(A) 최저 삼중선 상태 T1 과 제 1 여기 단일선 상태 S1 사이의 갭이 ≤ 0.15 eV 인 하나 이상의 발광 유기 화합물 (TADF 화합물); 및
(B) 트리페닐렌기 및 아자 질소 원자 6 개 이하를 갖는 아자트리페닐렌기로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상을 갖는 하나 이상의 유기 화합물 (TP 화합물)
을 포함하는, 캐쏘드, 애노드 및 발광층을 포함하는 유기 전계발광 소자로서, 상기 TP 화합물의 최저 삼중선 에너지가 상기 TADF 화합물의 최저 삼중선 에너지보다 0.1 eV 이하 더 낮은, 유기 전계발광 소자. - 제 1 항에 있어서, TP 화합물과의 혼합 층 내 TADF 화합물이 40% 이상의 발광 양자 효율을 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, TADF 화합물의 S1 와 T1 사이의 분리가 ≤ 0.10 eV, 또는 ≤ 0.08 eV 또는 ≤ 0.05 eV 인, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, TADF 화합물이 공여체 및 수용체 치환기를 모두 갖는 방향족 화합물인, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 하기의 조건이 TADF 화합물의 LUMO, LUMO(TADF) 및 TP 화합물의 HOMO, HOMO(매트릭스) 에 적용되는, 유기 전계발광 소자:
LUMO(TADF) - HOMO(매트릭스) > S1(TADF) - 0.4 eV
(식 중, S1(TADF) 는 TADF 화합물의 제 1 여기 단일선 상태 S1 임). - 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, TP 화합물이 하기 화학식 (1) 또는 (2) 를 갖거나, 또는 TP 화합물이 하기 화학식 (2) 에 상응하고, 화학식 (2) 에 나타낸 모노아자트리페닐렌기에서 C-H 기를 대체하는 5 개 이하의 추가 아자 질소 원자를 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자:

R1, R2 및 R3 라디칼은 서로 독립적으로 선택되고,
R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼이 각 경우에 하나 이상 존재할 수 있거나, 부재할 수 있고, 이때 R1, R2 또는 R3 중 2 개 이상의 라디칼은 서로 독립적으로 선택되고,
R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼은 하기로부터 선택됨:
(i) 트리페닐렌기 또는 아자트리페닐렌기와 컨쥬게이션된 시스템을 형성하는 방향족기로서, 상기 방향족기는 1 개 이상의 R4 라디칼로 치환될 수 있는 5 내지 80 개의 방향족 고리 원자를 갖고, 이때 R4 는 독립적으로 H, D, F, Cl, Br, 1 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 비(非)분지형 알킬, 3 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 분지형 또는 시클릭 알킬로부터 선택되고, 이때 2 개 이상의 R4 라디칼은 서로 연결될 수 있고 고리를 형성할 수 있음, 및
(ii) 1 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 비분지형 알킬, 3 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 분지형 또는 시클릭 알킬로부터 선택된 알킬 라디칼 R5 로서, 이때 2 개의 R5 라디칼은 서로 연결될 수 있고 고리를 형성할 수 있음,
단, 방향족 기 (i) 인 R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼이 하나 이상 존재함). - 제 7 항에 있어서,
R1, R2 또는 R3 이 컨쥬게이션된 C-C 단일 결합을 통해 트리페닐렌기 또는 아자트리페닐렌기에 결합되고/되거나;
R1, R2 또는 R3 의 하나 이상이 트리페닐렌기 또는 아자트리페닐렌기에 융합된 방향족기이거나 이를 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자. - 제 7 항에 있어서, TP 화합물이 하기 구조 단위들 중 하나 이상을 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자:

R 은 제 7 항에서의 R4 에 대해 명기된 바와 같이 선택되거나, 또는 R 은 하나 이상의 R4 라디칼에 의해 치환될 수 있는 방향족기이고,
Y 는 C(R6)2, NR6, S, O 및 Se 로부터 선택되고, 이때 R6 은 H, 1 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 비분지형 알킬, 3 내지 20 개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 분지형 또는 시클릭 알킬, 및 아릴 또는 헤테로아릴기, 또는 페닐일 수 있는 방향족기로부터 선택되고, 이때 2 개의 R6 라디칼이 서로 연결되고 고리를 형성할 수 있고,
점선은 단일 결합을 나타냄). - 제 7 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼이 페닐, 나프틸, 바이페닐, 벤조푸란, 벤조티오펜, 카르바졸, 아자카르바졸, 디벤조티오펜, 디벤조푸란, 트리페닐렌, 아진, 트리아진, 피리미딘 또는 피리딘으로부터 선택된 구조 단위를 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼이 +M 효과를 발휘하는 전자-공여기를 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 전자-공여기가 N, O, S 및 Se 로부터 선택된 헤테로원자를 갖는 전자-풍부 헤테로아릴기인, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 R1, R2 또는 R3 라디칼이 -M 효과를 발휘하는 전자-구인기를 갖는, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, TP 화합물이 -M 효과를 발휘하는 어떠한 전자-구인성 치환기도 갖지 않는, 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 및 제 7 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 유기 전계발광 소자의 제조 방법으로서, 하나 이상의 층이 승화법에 의해 적용되고/되거나 하나 이상의 층이 OVPD 법에 의해 또는 캐리어 가스 승화의 도움으로 적용되고/되거나 하나 이상의 층이 스핀-코팅 또는 인쇄법에 의해 용액으로부터 적용되는, 유기 전계발광 소자의 제조 방법.
