Abstract
실시 형태에 따르면, 양극(12) 및 음극(17)과, 상기 양극(12)과 상기 음극(17)의 사이에 배치된, 상기 양극(12)측의 적색 및 녹색 발광층(14a) 및 상기 음극(17)측의 청색 발광층(14c)과, 상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층(14a)과 상기 청색 발광층(14c)의 사이에 배치된 스페이서층(14b)을 구비하는 유기 전계 발광 소자(10)가 제공된다. 상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층(14a)에 포함되는 적색 인광 발광 재료 및 녹색 인광 발광 재료의 HOMO와 상기 스페이서층(14b)을 구성하는 정공 수송성 재료의 HOMO가 거의 동일한 에너지 준위에 있다. 상기 스페이서층(14b)에 있어서의 상기 정공 수송성 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 갭은, 상기 청색 발광층(14c)에 포함되는 청색 형광 발광 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 갭보다 크다. 상기 스페이서층(14b)의 두께는 3 내지 5㎚이다.

Claims (8)
- 서로 이격되어 배치된 양극 및 음극과,
상기 양극과 상기 음극의 사이에 서로 이격되어 배치된, 상기 양극측의 적색 및 녹색 발광층 및 상기 음극측의 청색 발광층과,
상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층과 상기 청색 발광층의 사이에 배치되고, 상기 청색 발광층으로부터 상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층으로의 에너지 이동을 막기 위한 정공 수송성 재료로 이루어지는 스페이서층을 구비하는 유기 전계 발광 소자로서,
상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층은, 정공 수송성을 갖는 호스트 재료, 적색 인광 발광 재료 및 녹색 인광 발광 재료를 포함하고, 상기 청색 발광층은, 전자 수송성을 갖는 호스트 재료 및 청색 형광 발광 재료를 포함하며,
상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층의 재료 전체의 중량에 있어서, 상기 적색 인광 발광 재료 및 상기 녹색 인광 발광 재료가 합쳐서 20 내지 40중량% 존재하고,
상기 적색 인광 발광 재료 및 상기 녹색 인광 발광 재료의 HOMO와 상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 상기 정공 수송성 재료의 HOMO의 에너지 차가 ±0.3eV 이내이고,
상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 상기 정공 수송성 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭은, 상기 청색 형광 발광 재료 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭보다 크고,
상기 스페이서층의 두께가 3 내지 5㎚인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 정공 수송성 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭은 2.7eV 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 청색 형광 발광 재료의 T1 에너지는 상기 스페이서층의 상기 정공 수송성 재료의 T1 에너지보다 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자.
- 서로 이격되어 배치된 양극 및 음극과,
상기 양극과 상기 음극의 사이에 서로 이격되어 배치된, 상기 양극측의 적색 및 녹색 발광층 및 상기 음극측의 청색 발광층과,
상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층과 상기 청색 발광층의 사이에 배치되고, 상기 청색 발광층으로부터 상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층으로의 에너지 이동을 막기 위한 전자 수송성 재료로 이루어지는 스페이서층을 구비하는 유기 전계 발광 소자로서,
상기 적색 및 녹색 발광층은, 정공 수송성을 갖는 호스트 재료, 적색 인광 발광 재료 및 녹색 인광 발광 재료를 포함하고, 상기 청색 발광층은, 전자 수송성을 갖는 호스트 재료 및 청색 형광 발광 재료를 포함하며,
상기 청색 발광층의 재료 전체의 중량에 있어서, 상기 청색 형광 발광 재료가 20 내지 40중량% 존재하고,
상기 청색 발광층에 있어서의 상기 전자 수송성을 갖는 호스트 재료의 LUMO와 상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 상기 전자 수송성 재료의 LUMO의 에너지 차가 ±0.3eV 이내이고,
상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 상기 전자 수송성 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭은, 상기 청색 형광 발광 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭보다 크고,
상기 스페이서층의 두께가 3 내지 5㎚인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자. - 제4항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서층에 있어서의 전자 수송성 재료의 HOMO-LUMO 사이의 에너지 갭은 2.7eV 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 청색 형광 발광 재료의 T1 에너지는 상기 스페이서층의 상기 전자 수송성 재료의 T1 에너지보다 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 전계 발광 소자.
- 제1항 또는 제4항에 기재된 유기 전계 발광 소자를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제4항에 기재된 유기 전계 발광 소자를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
