Claims (9)
- 글래스 기판;상기 기판의 상, 하부면 사이에 소정각을 가지고 금속의 격자무늬 패턴을 갖도록 편광자가 형성되어 입사되는 빛을 직교하는 두 개의 편광 방향으로 분리하고 상기 분리된 두 개의 편광 방향 중 어느 하나의 편광 방향을 갖는 빛은 투과시키고 다른 하나는 반사시키는 반사형 편광판;상기 반사형 편광판의 상부면 또는 하부면에 형성되어 상기 반사형 편광판에 의해 투과 또는 반사된 빛의 편광 방향을 변화시키는 편광 변환판; 그리고,상기 반사형 편광판 및 편광 변환판과 평행하게 형성되어 상기 반사형 편광판에서 반사된 빛의 진행 방향을 상기 반사형 편광판에서 투과된 빛의 진행 방향과 동일하도록 변경시켜주는 반사판을 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 금속은 알루미늄인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 편광자의 간격은 상기 편광 변환 장치로 입사되는 빛의 파장보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 편광 변환판은 수직 선편광을 수평 선편광으로 또는, 수평 선편광을 수직 선편광으로 변환하는 λ/2판인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 편광 변환 장치의 전단에는 입사되는 광빔을 균일하게 분할함과 동시에 분할된 광빔을 집속하는 플라이-아이 렌즈와 램프를 배치하고, 후단에는 패널을 배치하여 투사 장치의 광원 광학계를 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 플라이 아이 렌즈에서 출사된 빛이 상기 반사형 편광판 및 편광 변환판으로만 입사되도록 상기 플라이 아이 렌즈와 편광 변환 장치가 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광 변환 장치.
