Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for using the D channel of a CT-2(Codeless Telephone-second generation) incoming system in a PRI(Primary Rate Interface) is provided to prevent a PRI channel from being stopped when system data is loaded up and downloaded. CONSTITUTION: A physical ID and a logical ID are set in a PRI link when a system is installed(101). It is checked whether any system data without relation to a call process is transmitted between the switching center and the base station controller via the D channel(102). When the system data that is not related to the call process is transmitted therebetween, it is checked whether a message responsive to a call request is sent and received(103). If the message corresponding to the call request is exchanged, the logical PRI ID and the channel ID are searched, and thereby a PRI channel is found out(104).
