軽量、安価であるバンパモールに関する。 More specifically, in a bumper mold made of a flexible elastic body such as rubber provided on the outer surface of the bumper,
A middle part of the molding in the height direction is joined to the outer surface of the bumper, and upper and lower parts connected to the middle part form a space between this part of the molding and the outer surface of the bumper,
By bulging toward the outer surface to form a box-shaped cross section, the material of the bumper molding can be saved while increasing the surface area in the event of a collision, effectively protecting the bumper, and also having excellent shock absorption properties. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a bumper molding that is lightweight and inexpensive.

It is molded and therefore weighs quite a lot, which is not the best way to reduce the weight of the vehicle. In addition, since the bumper is made of a solid material and is formed to protrude greatly from the outer surface and sufficiently cover the top and bottom of the bumper outer surface, the cost increases accordingly. Furthermore, since it is heavy, it cannot be said to be the best in terms of installation work to the bumper.

The bumper molding 7 is made of rubber or the like, has a flat back surface 7b of an intermediate portion 7a in the height direction, and has an umbrella-shaped locking member in the center thereof that protrudes toward the back surface. A plurality of locking portions are provided in the length direction of the molding 7. The upper and lower portions of the intermediate portion 7a are formed with outwardly bulging portions 7d, 7d, and the upper and lower bulging portions 7d, 7d have flat surfaces as shown in FIG. and the intermediate portion 7a are the end portions 7e,
7e, and curved portions 7f, 7f which are curved from the outer end of the flat portion toward the bumper, and whose end surfaces 7g, 7g abut against the outer surface of the bumper, and these bulging portions 7d, 7d are arranged in opposite directions. End portions 7e, 7e protrude toward the outer surface from above and below the outer surface of the intermediate portion 7a, and outer surfaces of the bulging portions 7d, 7d extend vertically from the end portions 7e, 7e. Each end of the bulging parts 7d, 7d, that is, the upper end of one and the lower end of the other, are curved 7f, 7f in the direction of the back surface, and the curved parts 7f, 7
The end surfaces 7g, 7g of f are formed flush with the back surface 7b of the intermediate portion 7a, and the concave portions 7h, 7h extending toward the outer surface are formed on the back surface side of the bulging portions 7d, 7d, and the intermediate portion 7a is formed flush with the back surface 7b of the intermediate portion 7a. It is recessed toward the back side with respect to the surfaces of the portions 7d and 7d. As shown in FIG. 2, the length of the flat portion of the curved portion 7d in the vertical direction is
e and the length of the curved portion 7f.

The molding 7 has an intermediate portion 7a on the outer surface 4b of the bumper beam 4.
The back surfaces of the upper and lower bulges 7d and the curved portions 7f and 7f at the ends of the 7d are in contact with the outer surface 4b.

will be provided. This is shown in Figure 3. The height H in the vertical direction of the bumper molding 7 is smaller than the height H1 of the outer surface 4b of the beam 4 with respect to the outer surface 4b of the bumper beam 4, so that the upper and lower ends of the molding 7 and the upper and lower outer surfaces of the beam 4 are There are portions 4c, 4c not covered by the molding 7 between them.

Since the intermediate portion 7a and the end surface 7g are in contact with the object 8 and the beam outer surface 4b, and the end surfaces 7g and 7g are free, they escape in the vertical direction and the spaces S and S are reduced. As a result, the bulging portions 7d, 7d become flat and the curved portion 7
f and 7f are bent and expanded in each vertical direction, and the circumference of this portion extends in the vertical direction. As a result, the surface area of the molding 7 increases and covers the exposed portions 4c, 4c of the beam outer surface 4b before the collision. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the vertical length H of the molding 7 increases to a length H2 sufficient to cover the beam outer surface 4b.

実用効果顕著である。 As is clear from the above, according to the present invention, since the bumper molding provided on the surface of the bumper beam is made as described above, it is lightweight and can be manufactured at low cost because it is not a solid material, and it does not cover the entire outer surface of the bumper beam. This deforms during a light collision,
The beam can be reliably protected by covering the outer surface of the beam. Furthermore, since the bumper molding is lightweight as mentioned above, it has a significant practical effect, such as being favorable in terms of installation workability.
