、発呼者がメツセージを伝えたい場合は留守番電話にそ
のメツセージを録音する。もし発呼者がファクシミリの
電送を行いたい場合、まず留守番電話が応答し、留守番
電話の応答の後これを発呼者側からリモコンにより遠隔
操作することによって被呼者側の留守番電話をファクシ
ミリに切り換え、発呼者側からのファクシミリ情報を受
けるというものであった。以下、図面を参照しながら、
上述したような従来の複合電話端末装置について説明を

ミリFAX−2を回線4から切り離し、回線4を留守番
電話部TADに接続後、留守番電話部TADは予め録音
しておいた適当な音声応答メツセージ例えば「メツセー
ジのある方はビンポンとなってからお話し下さい。」を
回線4に送出して受信用語録音開始の通知を発呼側に知
らせた後、受信用語録音動作を行ない、発呼者のメツセ
ージを録音する。これらが終了した後、留守番を話RT
AD、およびファクシミリFAX−2を待機状態に復帰
させた後、呼出に備える。なお、本実施例では、ファク
シミリを使用したが、これは他の非音声端末装置例えば
データターミナル・テレテックスターミナル等でも実現

からの信号が非音声信号である事を検知した場合前記非
音声端末部を公衆回線に接続し前記非音声端末部の動作
終了後、前記留守番電話部を公衆回線に接続し前記検知
部により発呼側からの信号が音声信号である事を検知し
た場合前記留守番電話部を公衆回線に接続するよう制御
を行なう制御部を有することを特徴とする複合電話端末
