周縁にフランジを設けるとともに、缶蓋の周縁にカール
を有するフランジを設け、巻締めロールとチャックとを
用意し、チャックとして、その外周面のフランジウォー
ルの巻締め有効作用部の外径が胴の外径から巻締め厚さ
の2倍分の長さを減じた長さとほぼ等しいかまたはそれ
よりも小さいものを使用し、まず、頂蓋と底蓋のうちい
ずれか一方の蓋を胴の一端開口部に被せるととしに両者
の中心を合わせ、この凹陥部に上記チ11ツクを嵌め込
み、上記巻締めロールとチャックとにより巻締めを行な
って胴のフランジと蓋のフランジとを一緒に巻込んで押
しつぶし、つぎに他方の蓋を胴の他端に被せて前記と同
様の巻締めを行ない、巻締部の外周を胴の外周と同心で
ぼぼ同一円上かまたはそれより内方に存在せしめること
