BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, the technique of using a metal vapor deposited layer for the purpose of creating a beautiful metallic luster pattern on a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is widely known. For example, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 45-3085, a printing ink layer with desired characters or designs is applied to the surface of a transparent film through a vapor deposited layer of a glossy material, and the surface of the transparent film other than the printing ink layer is A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet with a glossy character pattern is shown in which the transparent film is exposed and a release paper is adhered to the back side of the transparent film via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. Most of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheets with character patterns are similar to those shown in this publication.
Since the metallic luster material is merely vapor-deposited, pasted or coated on one side of a film or sheet, even if a lot of effort is made to use the metallic lustrous material, the effect cannot be said to be sufficient.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the current situation, and a metallic luster material layer is formed on both the upper and lower surfaces of a transparent film layer, and a metallic luster material layer is further formed under the lower surface metallic luster material layer. The adhesive layer and the release paper are laminated, and on the other hand, an appropriate ink layer is further provided on the upper surface metallic luster material layer, and the portion of the upper surface metallic luster material layer that is not covered by this ink layer is Dissolved and removed by chemical treatment, etc.
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet characterized by having a structure in which the upper surface of a transparent film layer is exposed. The details will be described below with reference to the drawings.

The transparent film layer 2 in this invention refers to polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyester, cellulose acetate, or other highly transparent films (including sheets).
The metallic luster material layers 1 and 4 are made of aluminum, zinc, gold, silver, chromium, nickel, copper, selenium, magnesium fluoride,
Deposited layers of metals or inorganic compounds used in ordinary vacuum deposition methods such as zinc sulfide, silicon monoxide, etc., metal plating layers by electrochemical or pure chemical methods, rolled metal foils, and even metal powders. It may also be a synthetic resin film (sheet) or coating film mixed with. Therefore, even if the metallic luster material layers 1 and 4 provided on both the upper and lower surfaces of the transparent film layer 2 are of the same quality,
For example, the upper metallic luster material layer 1 may be easily soluble in acids, alkalis, water, or other solvents in order to later dissolve and remove the portions not covered with the ink layer 7, which will be described later. It is desirable to keep it. The transparent film layer 2 and the metallic luster material layers 1 and 4 on both the upper and lower surfaces can be formed by direct coating such as a vapor deposition method, or by extrusion molding a transparent film on the metallic luster material layers 1 and 4 on the upper and lower surfaces. They may be bonded together by any method, such as a bonding method or a method of pressing the two together with an adhesive or the like, but when an adhesive is used, it is naturally preferable to use a transparent adhesive.

Here, the lower surface of the transparent film layer 2 may be scratched in advance by etching, wire brushing, sandblasting, etc., an uneven pattern may be formed by embossing, etc., it may be colored with transparent ink, or further, The effects of the present invention can be further enhanced by forming a processed layer 3 on the entire or part of the lower surface of the transparent film layer 2 by printing letters or designs.

The adhesive layer 5 and release paper 6 to be further laminated on the lower surface of the lower surface metallic luster material layer 4 are obtained by peeling off the release paper 6 from the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet obtained by the present invention and exposing the adhesive layer 5. Since it is intended to be attached to the surface of a base material, there is no need to particularly limit the types and properties of the adhesive and release paper, and any pressure-sensitive adhesive and release paper corresponding to the pressure-sensitive adhesive that are commonly used may be used.

Next, the ink layer 7 formed on the upper surface metallic luster material layer 1 is one in which letters and patterns suitable for the processed layer 3 are printed, preferably using an ink with good transparency and adhesion. . The printing method at this time may be any of the usual letterpress printing methods such as offset printing, screen printing, gravure printing, lithography, intaglio printing, stencil printing, etc., depending on the size of the area or length of the sheet. . After the ink layer 7 is printed on the upper surface of the upper metallic luster material layer 1 in this way, the exposed portion of the upper metallic lustrous material layer 1 that is not covered by the ink layer 7 is
The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention can be obtained by dissolving and removing the transparent film layer 2 with an acid, alkali, water, an organic solvent, etc., and exposing the upper surface of the transparent film layer 2 in the area where the ink layer 7 is not formed. Note that even if the uppermost surface of this pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is laminated with a transparent protective film such as a polyethylene terephthalate film, no problem will arise in the present invention.

Now, as an example, we will show the state when a 0.3 to 0.5 μm vapor deposited aluminum film is formed on both the top and bottom surfaces of a polypropylene film (200 μm thick). It is sufficient to immerse it in a caustic soda aqueous solution of 10% or less, for example, about 6%. Also,
The process is exactly the same when forming the processed layer 3 by coloring and when providing the ink layer 7, but when using pale yellow transparent ink, the color of the aluminum foil below each layer (silver) If you use a dark yellow transparent ink, it will look like a copper color. If you use a thin semi-transparent white ink, it will give an alumite-like tone, and if you create a wood grain-like watermark pattern, it will change to a wood grain pattern with a metallic feel. As can be seen, the reflected and refracted rays from the upper and lower vapor deposited films and the transparent polypropylene film, as well as the transmitted or reflected rays from the processing layer 3, ink layer 7, etc., intersect. , exhibiting an extremely wide variety of decorative effects. In addition to changing the combination of colors and tones, it is also possible to make the letters and designs on the ink layer 7 appear raised depending on the thickness of the transparent film layer 2, so the metallic luster material layer It is clear that this invention exhibits excellent decorative effects that cannot be easily obtained with conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive sheets using only one layer of No. 1, and the significance of this invention is extremely great.
