ねじ径が小さくなる程その影響が大きく、ねじ径
10mmでロングリーチものについては従来の全ねじ
を設けた場合には性能を満足することは困難であ
る。

ラツトシート9を介して連成され、公知の仕様に
よつて主体金具1の内腔に中心電極2を保持する
磁器絶縁体3が封着固定される。4は主体金具1
の端面に溶接された接地電極、5はシリンダーヘ
ツド6の上面とフラツトシート9の間に介設され
一般に使用されている板材を曲成したガスケツト
である。本発明において主体金具1の前記胴部8
のうち燃焼室12寄りの先端部分には前記取付用
の雄ねじ1bが螺設され、その部分は胴部全長の
リーチLの約1/2程度に亘る。取付ねじのねじ径
Aは10,12,14mm等の各種あり、リーチLは19mm

ねじタイプとしたことによつてプラグの着脱が容
易となるだけでなく、ガスケツトの脱防効果を有
することからプラグの数回の着脱に対してもガス
ケツトが脱落することなく気密を保つことができ
る。更に特にねじ径10mmの小径のもの、19mmのロ
ングリーチのスパークプラグについて性能を損う
ことなく有利に開発することができる。
