刻するようになつている。マークブランクの刻印
文字の中には、例えば0,4,6,8,9のよう
に周囲が文字壁によつて囲まれた部分を有するも
のがあり、これらの文字を打刻すると前記記録紙
又はテープ紙の打抜かれた紙片が詰まることがあ
る。この紙詰りを防止するために、刻印文字の底
部にゴム等の弾性材を取付けてその先端面を文字
面にほぼ一致させ、打刻により打抜かれた紙片を
弾性材により跳ね返すようにした構造のものがあ
る。しかしながら、刻印文字の取囲まれた部分は
打刻時に被打刻面によつて閉塞され、かつ内部に
閉じ込められた空気等が圧縮されるので、刻印文
字の文字壁に大きな力が作用して破損する事故が
あつた。

この孔4は一端が刻印文字部2に開口し、他端が
マークブランク1の外部に開口する連通孔であれ
ばよく、図示構造のものに限定される訳ではな
い。

圧縮されるが、文字部の底から前記孔4内に送ら
れ、この孔を通過してマークブランク1の外部に
排出されるからである。
