Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a thermal conductivity of gas contained in cells by a method wherein a film having carbon dioxide gas adsorbing agent contained therein is placed between an inner box and an outer box of thermal insulation boxes such as a refrigerator and a freezer or the like and the film is integrally foamed with the rigid urethane foam. CONSTITUTION: A thermal insulating box 1 such as a refrigerator or a freezer is formed such that rigid urethane foam is injected between an outer box 2 and an inner box 3, foamed and curved. In this case, a film 7 having carbon dioxide gas adsorbing agent such as zeolite, active carbon, metallic hydroxide and metallic oxide or the like is fixed to the outer surface of the inner box 3 by an adhesive tape or the like, so that carbon dioxide gas contained in the rigid urethane foam 4 is moved toward a thickness direction of the thermal insulating wall and then carbon dioxide gas is easily adsorbed into the carbon dioxide gas adsorbing agent contained in the film 7. A thermal conductivity of gas in the cells is reduced in this way, a thermal conductivity of the rigid urethane foam is improved and its thermal insulating performance can be improved.
