Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to change continuously beam mode, beam diameter and maximum output, by constituting a laser equipment in the manner in which the distance between an aperture and a front part partially reflecting mirror can be continuously changed. CONSTITUTION:An aperture driving equipment 8 comprises a screw shaft 8a and a driving equipment 8b, and is screwed in the screw shaft 8a on the base part 6a of an aperture. When the screw shaft 8a is rotated by the driving equipment 8b, an aperture 6 is moved between A and B along the optical axis as shown by an arrow 9. Laser gas is excited by discharge, oscillation is generated by reflecting mirrors 4, 5, and a laser light is output to the side of a front part partially reflecting mirror 5. As to the output laser light, the mode, the beam diameter and the maximum output are determined by the discharge space, the curvatures of the reflecting mirrors 4, 5 and the diameter of the aperture 6. When the aperture 6 is moved in the optical axis direction by the driving equipment 8, the beam restriction changes, and as a result, the beam mode, the beam diameter and the maximum output continuously change.
