Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit the lining condition of the initial period of application to be kept stably and surely for a long period of time and permit the title technique to be applied to the lining of a pipeline for hot fluid, by lining a corrugated plastic tube on the inner surface of the pipeline. CONSTITUTION:A hard or semi-hard thermoplastic plastic tube 1, having a multitude of annular thin parts 2a,... arranged in parallel at proper intervals in the lengthwise direction, is employed. The plastic tube 1, inserted into a pipeline (a), is heated by pressure air, supplied into the pipe 1 by a compressor 9, while being heated as a heating pig 3 moves in the pipe 1. The difference of expansion coefficients is generated between thin parts 2a and thick parts 2b. The expansion coefficient of the thin parts 2a is larger than that of the thick parts 2b, which is comparatively small, whereby the thin parts 2a are projected outward beyond the thick parts 2b and become annular protruding parts 2a'. The crests of the annular protruding parts 2a' are adhered to the inner surface of the pipeline (a) whereby the plastic tube 1 is lined on the inner surface of the pipe 1 while keeping the shape of a corrugated tube.
