Abstract

PURPOSE:To pass wire or cable efficiently through a long conduit without causing damage, by producing Coanda spiral flow at the outlet or in the way of the conduit. CONSTITUTION:A main tube 2 is connected to the outlet endface of a conduit 1 while a sub-tube 3 faces with the main tube 2, and annular thin gaps are formed in order to feed pressurized fluid between them. Interval of the thin gap 4 can be regulated in order to control pressure and flow of the fluid. When air is employed as the fluid, inclination angle theta of the sub-tube is preferably in the range of 1/4-1/8 and the ratio of inner diameters between the conduit 1 and the sub-tube 3 is in the range of 1/2-1/5. Consequently, air flow in the conduit increases toward the tube 2 and further increases at the outlet of the sub-tube 3. Wire or cable 7 is sucked and carried through the conduit 1 by means of negative suction force.
