Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the permeation of noise into the room and simplify the connecting operation of a wire harness by fitting an insulator for soundproofing. etc., to the room-side of a dashboard, and incorporating the wire harness into the insulator as an integral part of the insulator. CONSTITUTION:An engine room 2 is formed in front of the car body frame 1, and a dashboard 4 is provided between the room 3 and the engine room. An instrument panel 5 is mounted to the upper side of the dashboard 4, and the ends of a floor carpet 6 being mounted to the lower side of the dashboard. An insulator 7 is fitted to the room-side of the dashboard 4. A wire harness 20 is incorporated as an integral part into the inside of the insulator 7, and a point box 8 is installed in a specified position. The permeation of noise generated in the engine room into the room can be thus prevented, and the connecting operation of the wire harness can be easily performed. Repair and exchange of the insulator can also be easily performed.
