Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove a nonmetallic inclusion without the filtering clogging of a molten metal by arranging the porous refractory member of specified aperture bore in opposition and adjusting the gap of each member space at the specified times the open hole bore. CONSTITUTION:More than two porous refractory members 1, 2 having numerous holes penetrated or linked of the aperture diameter d=5-15mm are arranged in opposition so as to become of the intermember distance L=1Xd-10Xd. The nonmetallic inclusion in the molten metal having attained to a turbulence by passing through a 1st member is temporarily retained in the gap between the 1st and 2nd members and subjected to a cohesion with its growth, so it can be removed easily by catching it with the 2nd member.
