Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of constituting parts by forming the reflecting surface of a mirror reflection type optical deflector to a concave curved face shape having a condensing characteristic. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting surface 22 of a polygonal mirror 18 is formed to the concave curved face and has the condensing characteristic. The laser light L reflected by the reflecting surface 22 scans at a constant speed on a film F in a main scanning direction (arrow A direction) in the state of removing spherical aberrations from said light if the curved surface shape of the reflecting surface 22 is made into the aspherical face corresponding to a scanning lens. Namely, the reflecting surface 22 has the condensing characteristic and constant speed linear scanning characteristic in combinations and, therefore, the need for disposing an optical element such as scanning lens between the polygonal mirror 18 and the film F is eliminated. The number of the constituting parts of the body part 10 is thereby reduced.
