Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a solid-state relay easily by taking it as a fault of the solid-state relay only when no trigger command is issued to the solid-state relay and current flowing to a main circuit is detected. CONSTITUTION:A main circuit current of the solid-state relay is detected by a current detecting circuit 1. On the other hand, the logic of a trigger signal of the relay is inverted by a logic inversion circuit 2. The output of the current detection circuit 1 and the output of the logic inverting circuit 2 are ANDed by an AND circuit 3 and its output is inputted to a holding circuit 4. The output of the circuit 4 is supplied to a display light 5. When the control circuit of the relay outputs a trigger signal, the display light 5 is lighted independently of the main circuit current. Suppose that the control circuit of the relay output no arcing signal. In such a case, when the relay is not faulty, the display light 5 is not lighted. If a relay is in short-circuit fault, a signal is supplied to the holding circuit 4 from the AND circuit 3 and the display light 5 is lighted.
