Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover energy of furnace gas with high efficiency without renewing an existing furnace pressure turbine and generator, by a method wherein, in a blast furnace in which a furnace pressure turbine for wet dust collection is installed, a wet type dust collector and a dry type dust collector are jointly used. CONSTITUTION:After dust is collected from furnace gas, exhausted from a blast furnace 1, by means of a coarse dust collector 2, wet type dust collection is applied on the furnace gas by means of a venturi scrubber 3 to produce low temperature furnace gas. After a part of the furnace gas is branched to a branch duct 11 from a duct 10 for intercoupling the coarse dust collector 2 and the venturi scrubber 3, it is introduced to a low volume dry type dust collector 8 and dust is collected in a high temperature state. After high temperature furnace gas from the low volume dry type dust collector 8 is mixed with low temperature furnace gas from the venturi scrubber 3, the mixture is introduced to a furnace pressure turbine 4 to recover pressure energy possessed by the furnace gas. In this case, flow rates of high and low temperature furnace gas are regulated by valves 9 and 10, respectively.
