Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance treatment efficiency, by accelerating the sedimentation of a fluidized carrier in a sedimentation region to supply said carrier to a fluidized region and efficiently recirculating and fluidizing the fluidized carrier allowed to fill the fluidized region. CONSTITUTION:An outflow barrier plate 4 demarcates a fluidized carrier sedimentation region C in parallel to the wall of a tank and the submerged partition plate 3 vertically provided in water in parallel to the barrier 4 demarcates a rising fluidized region A and a falling fluidized region B almost equal in a volume on both sides thereof. An aerating air diffusion pipe 5 is arranged to the bottom part of the rising fluidized region A. In this waste water treatment apparatus, a fluidized carrier having a particle size of 2-15mm is used and the water area of a sedimentation region C is set so that the rising water stream of the sedimentation region C becomes a speed equal to or less than the sedimentation speed of the fluidized carrier to accelerate the sedimentation speed of the fluidized carrier having a particle size of 5mm or more. Further, inclined barrier plates 8a, 8b preventing the rise of the fluidized carrier having a particle size of 2-5mm are provided to the opposed inner walls of the sedimentation region C. As a result, the fluidized carrier allowed to fill the fluidized region is efficiently recirculated and fluidized to enhance treatment efficiency.
