Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the successive application of a control storage despite a trouble occurred in a working area by allocating again a microprogram set in a microprogram area including a trouble area into an idle area of a control storage and changing the address position contents of a decoding memory. CONSTITUTION:When the trouble of a control storage (CS)11 is detected by an error checker 12 and reported, a service processor (SVP)13 records the address corresponding to the trouble area and received from a decoding memory 20 via a selector 22 to a CS trouble information holding part 17 of an EEPROM 14. Then a microinstruction is read out of the CS11 and diagnosed. When a fixed trouble is decided, the SVP13 refers to a CS idle area control table 16 to write the microinstruction into an idle area of the CS11. At the same time, the SVP13 registers the corresponding address and changes the contents of the address position of the memory 20. Thus it is possible to use successively the CS11 despite a trouble occurred in a working area and then to omit the exchange between the faulty CS and a normal CS.
