Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the high pressure gas from a seal part from flowing in a patient by escaping said gas to the outside of an endoscope, by forming a leak passage for releasing carrier gas to the outside to a seal member, which holds the downstream part of an opening and closing valve and a flow passage through which the carrier gas flows, on the downstream side thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A leak hole 100 is formed in a piston 81 along the axial direction thereof and a hole part 101 is provided to the peripheral wall of the leak hole 100 on the bottom part side thereof. When a button part 89 is pushed in from a stand-by state C while the leak hole 100 is closed by a finger, the port of a valve seat 80b is opened by the falling of the piston 81 as shown by a state D and a valve chamber 83 communicates with a valve chamber 104 and the carbon dioxide flowing out from an upstream side pipeline 10b passes through the first hole part 92, the valve chamber 83, the valve seat 80b, the valve chamber 104 and the second hole part 93 to be sent in a downstream side pipeline 10a. Even when excessive carrier gas is generated in use, since a leak passage is formed on the downstream side of a valve part 88 and a hermeticall seal 96, the gas flowing in a valve chamber 99 and the valve chamber 104 toward a patient (downstream pipeline 10a) but leaks to the atmosphere from the leak hole 100 and treatment can be performed always safely.
