Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent air bubbles from being produced in a brake oil in a hydraulic circuit by arranging the hydraulically transmitting liquid section of a cylinder and the outer part of a cylinder body on the heat radiating side, and by embedding thermoelectric converting elements in the inner and outer parts of the cylinder body. CONSTITUTION:Upon brake operation, friction heat from a disc rotor 1 and a disc pad 2 is transmitted through a piston 5 to brake fluid 9 and a cylinder body 3. Thus transmitted heat cools the brake fluid 9 and a cylinder body 3 through the intermediary of a thermoelectric converting element composed of an N-type semiconductor 7, a P-type semiconductor 8 and fins 4, 12. That is, heat from the brake fluid 9 having a raised temperature is received by the fins 12 and is radiated from the fins 4. With this arrangement, even though severe and successive brake operation is carried out, it is possible to prevent a vapor lock phenomenon due to air bubbles in the brake fluid 9.
