PURPOSE:To reduce quantity of waste gas to be treated by preventing abnormal overheating with continual coexistance of solid and liquid phases, without formation of combustion gas by melting arsenic sulfide sludge with a heater arranged under the bottom of a chamber, to which arsenic sulfide is charged, in a nonoxidizing atmosphere.
