Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect the erroneous operation of an automatic fire fighting system by placing a pilot valve and main valve in parallel in that system, where the pilot valve has a high gradient of water flux characteristic and acts accurately for a relatively small amount of water outlet and on the other hand the main valve has a moderate gradient of water flux characteristic and acts for a large amount of water outlet.
