く炉口の上方に設けたフードに、上吹きランスを炉内に
挿入するためのランス挿入孔を設けた転炉において、下
向きに開口する有底円筒状のシール筒が、上吹きランス
を包囲するようその中間部の外周面に取付けられ、かつ
そのシール筒の開口端部を挿入する環状のシ・−ルポッ
トが、前記ランス挿入孔の上部開口端に設けられ、さら
にそのシールポット内に前記シール筒の開口端部を浸漬
させるシール用液体が収容されていることを特徴とする
