Abstract

PURPOSE:To output slantly read picture data in a normal state and to correct an inclination in a digital picture input operation by providing two reference points in parallel to a paper surface, calculating the inclination on the basis of those reference points, and correcting the read data by the extent of the inclination. CONSTITUTION:Two crosses of specified size are drawn as the reference points in parallel to the paper surface and the inclination between the two points is calculated from h/w, where (w) is the horizontal distance and (h) is the vertical distance. The paper surface is divided into strips longitudinally and laterally according to the found inclination of the paper surface and those divided areas are corrected by extents shown by arrows. Then, the read data is corrected by the inclination to output normal picture data, thus correcting the inclination in the digital picture input easily.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for correcting data drawn on paper so that it can be output parallel to the paper even if the information is read with an inclination.

In recent years, facsimiles have been used to remotely transmit paper information, and image processing systems are also using facsimiles to convert paper information into digital data and register it, saving labor in document management. ing. The facsimile used in such cases is 1/8 to 1/j-6
The paper surface is scanned horizontally with a width of 100 mm, and the information on the paper is converted into digital data and imported. Because the scan width is extremely small at 1/8 to 1716 mm,
In most cases, paper information is read diagonally due to errors in positioning the paper to be set on the facsimile machine.

In other words, since the paper is inevitably set diagonally, it will be read diagonally. .

The registered digital image data is not only simply inspected and output from the facsimile machine, but also is subjected to various image processing, such as being reproduced and displayed on the CR7 screen. In this case, if the data is tilted left or right, not only will the image look bad when it is played back, but it will also cause many problems in terms of image processing. For example, if you try to embed printed characters on tilted digital image data, it is very difficult to embed them parallel to the paper surface, but diagonally in the memory.

The present invention has been made in view of these points. Two reference points are set parallel to the paper surface, the slope is calculated based on these reference points, and the data read by the slope is calculated. By correcting this, we have realized a method that can correctly output image data even if it is read diagonally.

以下、図面を参照して本発明の詳細な説明する。Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

First, as shown in Figure 1, two reference points are drawn parallel to the paper. The slope between two points is determined by h/W (or W/h), where the horizontal distance W1 is the vertical distance. This inclination simply indicates the inclination of the page. Note that the size of the reference point is 0.5 in thickness as shown in the figure.
A cross with a size of about 1 cm is used. It is not necessarily limited to the cross shape as long as the dimensions are suitable.

After knowing the inclination of the paper surface, the read data is divided into vertical strips according to the correction value (the inclination of the paper surface) K as shown in FIG. 2 (&). After dividing, each region is corrected by the amount indicated by the arrow in the figure and rearranged. The reference point is used as a reference position for correction. This vertical correction is performed as shown in FIG. 2(b). Second

1. The correction value in the case of lateral correction is also the same as the inclination found in FIG. 1, as long as the paper surface is configured at right angles. Therefore, there is no need to find a correction value in the lateral direction, and the values found in FIG. 1 can be used as they are. In this case, the same reference point used in the vertical correction is used as the reference position for the correction amount. By the above correction operation, image data corrected in the horizontal direction as shown in Fig. 3(b) is obtained.3 The image data shown in Fig. 3(b) is

If data is stored in the internal memory in such a corrected form, a correct image without positional distortion can be obtained when the image is reproduced on a CRT or output on recording paper. Therefore, the operability is significantly improved compared to the conventional one.

When the page information shown in FIG. 4(,) is read by facsimile, it is captured in the form shown in FIG. 4(b). The captured image data is subjected to vertical correction as shown in FIG. 5, and then horizontal correction as shown in FIG. 6 to complete the tilt correction. Normally, rotation processing is required to return a tilted object to its original position. However, when reading the page information of the 4th edition using a 7° axis, etc., the inclination angle is at most 1 cm or less, so it is sufficient to make the correction as in the present invention.

In the above explanation, a facsimile was used as an example of a paper information reading device, but any device may be used as long as it scans paper information horizontally and converts it into digital data. . Furthermore, although the present invention has been described with reference to the case where the image is in the upper right corner, it goes without saying that the present invention can be applied in exactly the same way even if the image is in the lower right corner.

As explained in detail above, according to the present invention, 2 fli! A digital device that sets a reference point for I, calculates the slope based on this reference point, and corrects the read data by the amount of the slope, so that even if image data is read diagonally, it can be output correctly. It is possible to realize a tilt correction method when inputting an image, and the effect in practical use is great.
