Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically scan and display meteorological conditions changing continuously by controlling the conduction and interruption of outputs of a plurality of sensors for detecting meteorological conditions to display them sequentially. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch 2 is turned to a position ACC, this state is memorized into a control circuit 705 of a display select section 7 through a power source section 3 to enter an automatic scan mode. Then, three state buffers 703, 702, 701 and 704 are turned sequentially to a high level to be scanned and outputs of humidity, temperature, inside temperature and pressure sensors 403, 402, 401 and 404 for detecting meteorological conditions from the interruption to conduction to display sensor outputs, units and the like sequentially on a display 8 by switching. In response to the operation of a selection switch 6, the memory contents of a circuit 705 varies to enables an alternate display of the sensors 401 and 402 or display for the sensors 403 and 404 only. With such an arrangement, meteorological conditions changing continuously can be automatically scanned and displayed.

This is a selection switch that instructs the display selection unit 7 to select display items such as humidity, atmospheric pressure, and automatic. FIG. 2 shows the configuration of the display selection section 7. 701°702.703,7
04 is connected to the A/D converter 5 and outputs to the display 8.
, L, Hz, 3-state buffer, 70
5 selects the display item with the select switch 6, and the H of 3-state Bazza 701, 702, 703, 704 is displayed.
This is a control circuit that performs control by switching the L state. To explain this mechanism in detail, the display item selection signal of the select switch 6 is stored in the control circuit 705, and when another display item is selected, the memory is switched, and when set to automatic, the 3-state buffer 701, 702, 703 .704 is set to H one by one, and the other three are set to L, which is repeated, and the output is output to the display 8 for scanning. Further, since Acc of the ignition switch 2 is connected to the automatic select switch 6, when the ignition switch 2 is set to Acc, an instruction for the automatic display item is input to the control circuit. On the other hand, when temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure are set, only 3-state buffer 703 or 3-state buffer 704 is set to H, but when temperature is set, 3-state buffer 701'
, 702 alternately repeats the H and L states. In addition, the control circuit 705 outputs a command to display the display item name and its unit to the display 8 in response to the state buffer that is set to H, and the signal output by the A/D converter 5 is slightly smaller than this command. It is output to the display 8 with a delay. A display 8 has a 3 1/2 digit, 7-segment fluorescent display tube that digitally displays the numerical value output by the A/D converter 5, and displays the display item names and their units controlled by the control circuit 705. A display section is provided to give meaning to the numerical values of the segments.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained with reference to the operation time chart of FIG. When the ignition switch 2 is set to Acc at time 1 (,), voltage is applied from the power supply section 3 to each section, and automatic selection of display items is instructed to the control circuit 705 (Fig. 4 (a)). In this case, only the 3-state buffer 403 is set to H, and the display item names and units of humidity and % are displayed on the display 8 (Fig. 4 (bl)). The numerical value of the signal of the humidity detection element 403 converted in step 5 is digitally displayed on the display 8. (FIG. 4(C)) The delay time of t(, '-to is approximately 0.5 seconds in this embodiment. This humidity display continues until time 1, at which point the 3-state buffer 70 is set.
Only 2 becomes H, and the display 8 shows outside air.

The display items and units can be changed to temperature and °C. (Figure 4 (
d)) Then, at time tl' delayed by approximately 0.5 seconds, the numerical value of the signal of the outside temperature detection element 402 converted by the A/D converter 5 is displayed on the display 8. (Fig. 4(e)) Similarly, the 3-state buffers 701 and 704 become H in order, and the display item names and units on the display 8 are also changed to temperature, °C, 1 atmosphere, and m.
The temperature and atmospheric pressure inside the vehicle are displayed accordingly.
After hl, (jl), the scanning operation is repeated until the select switch 6 is operated. The time required for one cycle of the scan operation is -display time per display item (t+
jo, t2-tI+ t3-t2+'
Since t 4t 3 ) is about 5 seconds, it takes about 20 seconds.

If one of the select switch 6Φ temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure is selected here, the above scanning operation is canceled and a new display item is written in the control circuit 705. I get kicked. For example, when atmospheric pressure is selected, only the 3-state buffer 704 becomes H, the display item name and unit on the display 8 become atmospheric pressure and rnbar, and the atmospheric pressure detection element 404 converted by the A/D converter 5
The numerical value of the output signal is displayed digitally. However, only when temperature is selected, the 3-state buffers 701 and 702
is alternately set to H, and the outside temperature and interior temperature are scanned and displayed.
