Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality and high-density printings by a method in which nozzle ports are arranged in two stages at a right angle to the paper feeding direction and the distance between the first stage nozzle port and the second stage nozzle port is made shorter than the interlineal space so as to enhance the integration degree of the nozzle ports. CONSTITUTION:Nozzle ports 81 and 82 are arranged in two stages on a recording head face 7, and the distance P between the nozzle ports is made shorter than the interlineal space S of printing. By this, typing of adjacent separate lines by two-staged nozzles is avoided, the need to inversely feed paper by as much as the difference between the distance P of the nozzles and the interlineal space S of pinting is unnecessitated for restarting printing, and therefore, the complicated processings of control can be eliminated.

A paper feed hW) consisting of a 1-digit recording head, 21 paper-feeding rollers 3, and a paper-feeding motor 4), a 5-digit control circuit, and 6 a recording sheet. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the recording head 1 shown in FIG. 1, viewed from the direction of the nozzle surface. On the recording head surface 7, there is a nozzle port 8 of an inkjet mechanism that converts electric pulses into liquid ink pressure and ejects liquid ink droplets.
are formed in a horizontal row. Recording in the apparatus configured as described above is carried out by the super-feeding unit 2 on the recording paper 6.
This is performed line by line by the recording head 1 while feeding the line in the direction of arrow A. However, as shown in FIG.
The configuration in which the printers are arranged horizontally in a row has a drawback that high-density printing with good printing quality cannot be obtained because there is a limit to their accumulation.

FIG. 3 is a structural perspective view showing an embodiment of the recording head according to the present invention. In the figure, the same components as in FIG. 2 are given the same reference numerals. 81 and 82 are recording head surface 7K
The nozzle openings are arranged in two rows, upper and lower, and the arrangement of the nozzle openings Q1 and 82 in the two stages is such that a dot is struck by the nozzle 82 of the second stage between a dot struck by the nozzle 81 of the first stage. We are in a relationship where we are attacked. These two stages of nozzle ports 8i, 82
are formed on both sides of the substrate 10, and the recording head 1 is formed with the substrate 10 sandwiched therebetween.

When the recording head is configured as shown in FIG. 6, it is possible to achieve high-density printing based on the arrangement of the nozzles in two stages, upper and lower. Furthermore, by forming the recording head in a laminated structure as shown in FIG. 3, manufacturing becomes easier.

Here, 11jl of the nozzle openings in the upper and lower two stages in FIG.
Consider the interval P. Now, the distance P between the nozzle ports is 4th.
If the line spacing is wider than the line spacing S when printing as shown in the figure, when recording, the nozzles in the upper and lower two stages will strike separate adjacent lines. The drawbacks are that it requires memory and the control itself is complicated.

Furthermore, when printing is interrupted and lines are printed, in order to resume printing on the next line, it is necessary to reverse the paper by the difference between the nozzle opening interval P and the printing line spacing. The second problem is that the paper feeding section and control become complicated. Therefore, by making the interval P between the nozzle openings in the $3 diagram smaller than the printing line spacing, the nozzle shown above [
] This has the effect of eliminating defects caused by the number of intervals. tC Oh, here the nozzle opening is -E bottom 2
Although we have only mentioned recording heads arranged in rows, for heads with nozzle ports arranged in three or more rows, the interval between the nozzle ports at the top and bottom rows should also be made narrower than the line spacing for printing. This has the effect of eliminating the drawbacks caused by the wide spacing between the nozzle orifices described above.

In this case, the nozzle orifices 83 and 84 are arranged on the head surface with a lateral spacing R, and the multiple nozzle orifices are supported with a lateral spacing R by the head swinging section 11 shown in FIG. and record. Ink of different colors is supplied to the upper nozzle 83 and the lower nozzle 84, so that two-color printing can be performed. Even in a recording device configured in this way, by making the interval P between the nozzle openings shown in Fig. 6 narrower than the line spacing S for printing, the defects caused by the interval between the nozzle openings shown earlier can be eliminated. Effects can be obtained.
