Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the temp. of a stacked and replaced heating wall of a coke furnace by heating without generating joint-damages and hair cracks by a method wherein an opening degree of a draft opening of a carbonization chamber is adjusted and hot air in an innermost side carbonization chamber is flowed thereinto to control a temp. raising speed of the stacked and replaced wall.
CONSTITUTION: In a coke furnace 1, carbonization chambers A, D and combustion chambers 11, 13 are alternately installed in line and a regenerative chamber is connected to the combustion chambers thereunder the combustion chambers are constituted from plural flues partitioned by brick walls. Over a space from a kiln opening of a heating wall opposed to stacked and replaced walls 2, 3 of the carbonization chambers B, C to the stacked and replaced flue, a heat insulating material 23 is mounted. In the same way, a heat insulating material 24 is provided to a ceiling part and a heat insulating material 20 is mounted in order to interrupt heat from the innermost carbonization chamber in the downstream of the stacked and replaced flue. By each heat insulating materials 20, 23, 24 and the heat insulating material of a furnace bottom, an environment for stacking and replacing work is insured as well as a drop in temp. of the heating wall having the heat insulating material 23 mounted thereto is prevented to carry out stacking and replacing operation. After the stacking and replacing work is completed and, after the stacked and replaced walls 2, 3 are completed, the temp. of the stacked and replaced walls 2, 3 are raised by heating.
