Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a lead frame free from tab short at low cost by connecting a conductive layer to a required part on the main body of an insulator. CONSTITUTION:An outer lead 18, a tab 20 and a lead 24 for suspending the tab are made of plastic material and a conductive film 28 of Ag or the like is attached to the upper surface thereof. By this constitution, a connecting wire 26 from a pellet 22 to an outer lead 18 causes no short-circuit even when it slackens and touches the tab 20, and the frame made of plastic is inexpensive, easy to machine and favorable for preparation of a resin-sealed type semiconductor device.
