Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothen the movement of wire and increase printing speed and quality by a method wherein a guide plate for wire is held in such a way that some allowance is provided between the plate and a guide plate supporting member. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 7 is provided in a wire holding member 2 between a driving source 3 and a head end portion 1 in order to remove the deformation of the wire 8. Chamfers 10, 11 where the guide plate 7 is engaged with, are made in a holding member 9-1 used to hold the guide plate 7. The chamfers are provided with a space about 0.1mm. wide in the right and left, and upper and lower directions when the guide plate 7 is engaged with the chamfers. In addition, the guide plate is provided with a space about 0.1mm. wide in the direction of breadth against the holding member 9-1. Furthermore, a notch 13 is formed in the corner of the guide plate 7 to prevent the guide plate 7 being placed upside down and a projected wall is formed in the holding member 9-1 corresponding to the notch.
